"I see you like it a little rough," the lead satyr growled. "That's okay. We can do rough, right boys?"

"So can I." A dark shape glided out of the trees, a portion of shadow come to life. The satyrs blinked and hastily stepped back as Ash strode into the middle of the herd. Looming up behind Jason, he slid an arm around his shoulders and pulled Jason to his chest. "This one," Ash growled, "is off-limits."

Jason almost dropped the ice sword,letting Ash pull him to his chest. He almost would have hugged the other boy but refrained. He felt a little awkward either way.

"Prince Ash?" gasped the lead satyr, as the rest of the herd bowed their heads. He paled and held up his hands. "Sorry, I didn't know he was yours. My apologies. No harm done, okay?"
"No one touches him," Ash said, his voice coated in frost. "Touch him and I'll freeze" he covered Jason's ears for this part "Understand?"
The satyrs cringed. Stammering apologies to both Ash and Jason, they scurried away. Silence fell, and they were alone. "Are you all right?" Ash murmured, releasing him. "Did they hurt you?"

Jason let the ice turn back to a little dragon,Flasher,again and was a little confused on why Ash had covered his ears. He nodded,his freckle scales shifting with color again,rose pink and ice blue. It looked pretty. "Yeah...th-they didn't hurt me.Thank you." He said,trying to force his thoughts to understand that Ash had only done that because he was his prisoner. "Your sure set on getting a dragon to your queen huh?" Jason said,forcing a jerky flirtatious smile up to Ash.

Ash definitely noticed. He moved closer. Catching his wrist, he gently pulled Jason to him and wrapped his arms around the dragon, holding him tight. His rapid heartbeat was audible, and there was a chill that could be felt through his shirt

Jason's freckle scales burst into bright full out rose pink rather than a blush and his eyes widened. "A-Ash?" He was shocked and confused. He so wanted to hug back but thought that maybe the prince was stressed but he partially doubted it due to the speed of his heart rate. Jason's accelerated as well,pounding in his chest.

Ash didn't speak, didn't ask questions, didn't do anything but hold him

Jason gave in and hugged him back,burying his face in the princes shoulder as he shut his eyes tight.

Ash couldn't help but smile a little at that. He was glad that he could make Jason feel a little better

Soon Jason was crying a bit,letting out what he'd held back for a long time of missing his sisters. Sorrow for his sisters,losing his semi-twin,and the war that was ripping the small family apart. Their father dead and friends dead as well. So many scarred or killed,so many with hopes put into the two older brothers to rule with power and protection when Flasher was only 25 and Jason 17. Let alone having to keep 7 year old Silver out of the war zone that was flooding all over and swallowing the realm in terror and blood shed.
