Knuckles glanced to the side and clenched his fists, guilt washing over him as he instantly regretted mentioning it. "Do I need to spell this out for you? I let You-know-who build all of this." He growled, ashamed. "I didn't know he was using it to build a doomsday device, but that doesn't justify it,"

I nodded remembering egghead, "Yeah, well, next time I see him, I plan on taking a pair of scissors to his mustache." I said with a snicker.

"Mm." Knuckles grunted. If Sonic was trying to make him feel better, it wasn't working.

When I saw Knuckles expression I said, "Or you could do it." I smirked.

Knuckles lowered his head a bit, but didn't respond.

I frowned, "It's egghead's fault, not yours." I said simply.

"Doesn't change the fact that I let him...." Knuckles murmmured, whatever optimisim he had gone. Such an idiot....
