"Now use Bug Bite on Pikipek!" Ella said. Flutter bit Pikipek with Bug bite.

Koroi gasped as she picked her pokeball up. Her first pokemon!

She gasped and then giggled as Rockruff bounded over her.

Pikipek beat her wings and squawked. "Use Drill Peck! Aim carefully" Ashley called. Pikipek chased Flutter.

Flutter flew around very fastly.

(Sorry for the long post, I had wanted to do a quick side story and this happened.)

After leaving the beach, Mari made her way to the pokemon center and got Muse healed. It always amazed her how fast they could treat a pokemon back to health. The nurses informed her to let her popplio rest and not engage in any intensive battles for awhile.

On her way back she heard rustling in some bushes. Suddenly a pikipek flew out chased by an Alola meowth. The meowth tried jumping to catch the pikipek out of the air, but the pikpik countered with a swift jab with its beak. The meowth fell to the ground as the pikipek flew off with an angry tweet.

As Mari approached the meowth, she noticed that the meowth looked quite skinny. The meowth noticed her apraoch and watched carefully.

"you look like you could use something to eat." Mari said as she put some pokemon food on the ground.

The meowth ate the food with a ravish apatite. The meowth looked more relaxed and even let Mari rub her head. The meowth's eyes glistened when it saw an empty pokeball on Mari's belt. Suddenly, the meowth pounced on the pokeball and pressed the middle button and a beam of light enveloped her. The pokeball didn't even wiggle and clicked into place.

Mari haddn't even had time to react before the meowth had captured herself. Immediately the pokeball opened and the meowth came back out. She gave Mari a smirk as if saying you belong to me now. And just like that, Mari had captured her first pokemon, sort of. She made her way to the beach with her new companion following.

She saw Koroi and called out.

"Hello, I got Muse healed up and you'll never believe what happened!"

"What?"

Koroi threw a pokeball.

"Come on out, Rocky!"

Rockruff came out and licked Koroi, hugging her. Suddenly, to Koroi, the air was full of pokemon.
"Do you want to try to find an Alolan Marrowak?"

Pikipek caught an updraft, giving her a boost of speed. She was above Flutter now, so she expertly angled her wings downward, ready to land a Drill Peck.

Flutter use peck as she angled up at Pikipek.

"Not again!" Ashley exclaimed.

When Cutiefly hit Pikipek something happened and it was so quick that it was hard to tell.
