(Oh, I liked that book! I read it for my English class a couple of years ago. And I'm just so happy that you didn't totally judge me and just stop talking to me because of that video)

That name was familiar. Well, the name the hybrid was trying to say was, anyway. She laughed, a little nervously now. She noticed how he shook though, so he must be weak, right. "What brings you here?" She asked, her politeness obviously strained now

(We're reading it! ^w^ And why would I just stop talking to you because of a video? *Is confused*)

He raised his head, navy blue eyes hazy and clearly he was struggling to stay awake. "I've come in search of D-H-3, I wish to give my apologies before the end." His voice wavered and his throat was clearly strained from all the screaming he'd done while getting burned.

Sapphire waddled over in Luke's direction, as if to go and hug his legs.

He looked down at her, taking a step back. "Ah, the smaller one. Yes, she took you, too. That's why they used the burning, not just firing me." He muttered.

(Because it was a super disturbing video. Most people, if I show them or say something morbid they kinda just laugh awkwardly and then make up an excuse to get away from me. Not that I mind, because irl I'm a big introvert, so...yeah. *Shrugs*)

"Um...I can relay them to her, but...I'm not entirely sure that she wants to see you."

(Well thats sorta ... interesting, I've only felt that need to get away when my second x is like 'you look cute today, as always'.)

He sighed, nodding. "Please, I just wish to speak to her in person. I understand she would not wish to see me, but I wish to see her. I saw you walking with her, she was quite clingy to you. I beg of you, please persuade her out here. I can't just live with myself, knowing the things I had to do may be unforgiven."

(Yeah, in general, I'm a very weird person xD I don't mind, it though. And oof...that's awkward)

She hesitated, replaying his words, wondering if he was lying or not. He had been stalking them, and now he wanted to see D? That was more than a little suspicious.

I am as well, but thats us and no one should judge. And yes, it is. I have to hide in the bathroom and get a tardy so I don't cry in the middle of class. I've known him since second grade and it hurts just to be around him. He's too nice.)

But he wasn't wearing his lab coat this time, his navy blue, tired eyes where sincere and he looked right into her eyes. A liar wouldn't look you right in the eyes, and if they did then you'd see the lies in their eyes. In his, there where none.

(Ack! It's okay, I can kind of empathize with that. I liked this guy since first grade, and he just totally crushed my feels and I tried so hard not to cry in class...it was so bad. I got rejected in front of the whole class...and now he's like super nice to me and I can't help but feel that he's trolling me. I know deep down that he's not, though, but I buried my heart and then burned the map after that, and so...yeah.)

She still hesitated though another moment before going to talk to D. "Wait here."

(I wish I could get over it. ... But he was my first real friend, my best friend for years, and then he became more! And then he tore all we had down and now gives me smiles and compliments like everything's fine.)

Luke gave a nod. "Thank you." he said, wincing as Sapphire hugged his leg.

"Uuke." Her little body wiggled happily.

He sighed, gingerly patting her head with a burnt hand. "Hi little one, I see you're doing well."

"W ... llll!"

"Heh, guess you could say that."


D was in a corner, refusing to move.

(That's exactly why I try not to get too close to anyone. I say that, but I have a group of friends that are guys, but I've already friend-zoned them, so I hope we're all good. And I'm sorry...I've never been in a relationship anything more than friends with anyone, so I can't relate there)

"He wants to apologize," she said in a hushed tone. "I get it if you don't want to see him, though, but he seems sincere."

(I didn't really try, it just happened because we bonded over the years. So~, it was sorta hard. But I don't mind if you can't relate, I'm alright. *When you say your fine,and you look fine. But inside you have to admit to yourself that you're not fine.*)

D shook her head, talons pushing her farther back into the corner. "Luke. No Luke. No."

Luke stroked Sapphires wings as the tiny thing purred.
