There was a knock on the front door, it sounded like it was a struggle for the person.

D tilted her head in that direction.

Sapphired hopped over to the door, curious as to what the sound was.

(Neither was I, tbh. And can I please just explain myself really quickly? I'm not morbid like the people who are super into gruesome stuff and all that, I'm just morbid in the way that I'm interested in ghosts and spirits and stuff like that. The video came up as a recommended one, and I was like 'eh why not' and I regret ever watching it, so I'm sorry I cursed your eyes with that)

Kate wondered who on earth that could be, and she gently moved Sapphire out of the way so when she opened the door it wouldn't hit her

Sapphire still stayed close by and looked curiously at the door with wide little green eyes, they lit up joyfully when the door opened to reveal a man of maybe 20-25(because he can't be the same age as D) with fluffy brown curls, dark blue eyes and freckles lining his cheeks. He was fair but he had on a jacket that hid most the burn marks all over. But burns lined up the sides of his neck unevenly, and his expression was pure pain.

D followed, though slowly as she caught a burnt scent.

(I know I shouldn't be, but I'm so glad. You have no idea how many people think I'm weird bc of my morbidity)

Kate didn't recognize him as the same guy that had stalked D earlier, mostly because of the burns. "Can I help you?" She asked

(Eh, you have right to be glad then. *Shrugs* I can be morbid sometimes, in a very creepy way. I laughed because I read in a book of a child having to be put down in The Giver.)

He gave a polite bow of his head, shaking. "Greetings-"

"Uuuke!" Sapphire knew him, burns or not. She clapped happily but at the struggled name there was a scuttle of talons on the ground. D had heard Saph and didn't like the sound of what the smaller hybrid was trying to say. She was stiff now and she didn't dare move, but she rather went farther into the kitchen.
