"Yeah I get it." Ajal took a deep breath. "I just needed to cool off I guess last night went really really wrong."

"Hey, I'm no therapist, but I'll listen if you wanna talk." Knux offered. "There's this nice place by the river, if you're interested."

"Sure." Ajal started walking toward the river.

The echidna cleared his throat. "I know a shortcut...."

"I'll follow you then. Hope your ready for a long day of listening." Ajal told him.

"Hey, I've got all the time in the world you here. Take as long as you need," Knuckles said, leading him down to the river.

They were there in only a matter of minutes. Knux was right; the place was nice. The water was clear, the breeze relaxing, and it was quiet except for the sound of the river and the occasional chrip of a frog or bird call. A large white egret stalked the shallows nearby. The echidna hopped up onto a moss covered rock and settled down, exhaling softly.

"Thanks. I gess I should start off by telling you what happened before you helped us out with the guild. My friend Clay gave me the chaos emerald and Void didn't know he had it. Heck I didn't even know he had it. He somehow chaos controled me here when I didn't even believe this place existed. I do now sorry that I was so hard headed then. After a long battle and using the chaos emerald to teleport back to the place we were staying the thieves lit it on fire." Ajal took a breath. "We got out and Damon was ready to throw us to his former guild mates. I couldn't even understand the whisp so what good am I they implied. On top of everything else Void is torturing Clay."

Knuckles nodded slowly. "....Okay.... Okay. So what I'm getting is that you're worried about them all safety-wise and annoyed that everyone else seems understand the alien slightly better then you can. Is that the general jist?"

"Unfortuantly no. I now have to work with the blue pin cushion who is the reason my mentor is gone and why Hagin's mind snapped while the guild was trying to protect the freedom fighters. Now when I look at Son.. Er the blue pin cushion all I see is the cave in." Ajal finished.

"So this is about your history with Sonic, then?" Knuckles inquired further, raising a brow.
