"Thank you, sir." He said, but clearly felt down about going. 'My judgment failed this time... it might fail again. I can't be trusted.'

The commander nods and dismisses him.

Ray found himself confronted by a guard. "I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to show your face around here again." The guard said, levelling her sword at Ray.
Ray blinks up at the guard in surprise. The guard was taunt and clearly on edge. "Are you going to kill me?" Ray asks, his voice dull.
The guard nods in response.
"Huh. It won't be a fair fight, but alright." Ray shrugs and stands. The guard is a bit thrown off. The way Ray spoke and acted made what he said feel as though the guard was the one at a disadvantage.
"No, I'm not going to fight you. I'm just going to kill you. You're the one at a disadvantage. You don't have a weapon." The guard lunged forward, her blade making a beeline to Ray's chest. Ray sidesteps and a simple move has the sword clattering out of the guards' grip.
"Holy cow, your hands are cold." The guard notes, taking out her daggers. Ray laughs.
"I didn't notice. But its funny that you did."

Jack left, not bothering to get much from his quarters. He just took a side back and put a few of his belongings in. He left the room neat as always, just as if he'd never lived there. He then left. He hoped Ray was still there, he couldn't handle being alone.

Ray's injured leg gave out at one point, but the guard had taken the time he was down to grab her sword. Ray was just getting to his feet again, but the guard pushed him back down and held her sword over his chest, ready to end him. Ray managed to grab the guards daggers and use them to deflect the sword. The blade still got his side, but at least it hadn't killed him. Ray disengaged and pulled back, though the guard pursued him easily.

Jack walked out and toward were Ray was, catching sight of the fight and right away rushing over with long strides. "HEY!"

The guard turned slightly to face Jack, fearing it was another threat. Ray breathed a sigh of relief and backs up further until he was safely out of the guards' swords reach.
"Jack?" The guard pauses the fighting. Ray attempts to get to his feet again, willing his legs to hold him.
"Jack." Ray smiles and leans against a tree. He was glad to see Jack.

"Leave him alone." Jack said sternly to the guard, knowing she didn't know yet that he had resigned.

"But... Sir, this is the thief and murderer." The guard motions to Ray. Ray gives a cheerful wave in response, acknowledging what he had done and what he could be counted as.

He stood between her and Ray. "I know, I will take care of them."

The guard doesn't respond for a minute. Finally, she sighs and reluctantly nods, "Fine." She sheaths her sword and is surprised when Ray offers her her dagger back. She takes it as well and leaves, looking back at the two, still not completely sure she trusted the two.
