At the sight of the red creature coming out of the metal box, she quickly stands up, an innate fear of the glowing thing compelling her to flee. Unsure of what to do, she looks around, seeing that she can fight, go up a tree, or fly just out of reach.

She decides flying would be the best option. She spreads her wings.

Mirage
Mirage approaches, but has the lighter low. As she comes in a hundred feet, she flicks it shut, before tripping over a root, catching herself.

(I don't think I'm rejoining since I had to take care of some pressing things irl and things have moved so much I'm not really sure how to jump back in, sorry. ;;)

As the hybrid comes closer Boreal starts flapping her wings only to see the feline fall down. Perhaps she had overreacted. Boreal keeps her wings out and back away a few steps. Now that the lighter was out she seems to have calmed down a bit.

(Boreal isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. She gets distracted easily and is afraid of fire.)

(Mirage tripped. She didn't fall.)

"Come. We've gathered up in the cave, those of us that escaped."

Elise was watching the seen play out
Then she smelled something burning.
" The squirrel! Get it out of the fire quickly."

"How do I know I can trust you? There is a scientist in there!" She squawked, "And, and- that red... thing. I don't like it." She shies away from the feline, not wanting to come too close.
