He turned back to Burrshadow and pressed his nose back into her fur. He closed his eyes to hide the clouded look from his clanmates.

Jaypaw sat, and looked at Burrshadow's limp body. Gently, he moved her body to a more comfortable position, and made her look as if she was sleeping. Jaypaw lowered his head. His neck fur rose as a voice whispered in his ear, "Im still here with you, my dear apprentice." It sounded... it sounded like Burrshadow. Jaypaw looked at her body hopefully, but Burrshadow had made no movement. Jaypaw buried his face in Ravenstar's shoulder to hide his tears. Then, Burrshadow's invisible spirit whispered in Ravenstar's ear, "Don't think I have left you forever, my friend."

"Oh.Well,our mother will look after you two.Come over to her"She flicked her tail and padded next to her mother.

Ravenkit didn't move closer to Berrykit's mother. In fact, he still seemed to fear her, as well as everyone else, not counting Badgerkit and Claykit.

BadgerKit stood firmly where he was.

Ravenstar's eyes opened a bit and he tried to put a smile on. He tilted his head towards the she-cat's lifeless body and then spoke to the spirit through his head. I think he is ready. He has gone through so much and it is early but I also think it is time, Burrshadow. He looked at the young apprentice.

Spotfur was quick to get back to camp, he did not want to miss the deputy ceremony for he knew it would happen sometime soon.

Napoleon waited until the calico was out of sight before he decided to follow, making little to no sound as he trekked across the uneven grounds.

Jaypaw looked away and sniffed, wiping his eyes with his paw. "I'll miss you Burrshadow. You were the best mentor ever, and an even better deputy. And you were so kind, and helpful.." Jaypaw said sorrowfully. {{Who is going to be Jaypaw's new mentor?}}

"I miss her too." Ravenstar said to the apprentice. "So much. You know, we used to be apprentices together and we would sneak out of camp just like Sorrowpaw and you would. She was like a younger sister to me."
