"Nope!" Jason yelped,trying to jump out of the churning water but Pam laughed and pulled him under with him again. Suddenly as they dropped in,two massive purple and pink translucent forms burst up out of the water,seeming made of the water themselves. Their webbed wings spreading and jaws opening to show deadly sharp teeth in their slender snouts,necks like eels and tails similar to a ridgebacks. One on their side of the dragons and both let out shrill tries,no hind legs but rather fins,and kicked their front legs in the air before diving back into the water.

"Memorils!" Cried Pam once his head was above water.

Jason still tried to get out of the water,only more so now despite that he could breath through his gills now that lined part of the sides of his neck.

Ash watched the scene unfold before him

Pam finally let Jason jump to the ground again. The half dragon shook himself out and shifted quickly back to his half form,clothes back now,and shivered.He himself was soaked but his clothes dry other than getting we by him.

Pam laughed as a few other of the creatures burst up and out but stayed in the air,some light blue tinted and others teal.While some had pink and lavender tints.

Some little ones waddled to the land with their little webbed front talons and cooed as they looked the new beings up and down.No one had been to their forest for years.Hundreds of years. Two dragged their little bodys over to Ash and one to Jason. Three others warbled as the two little girl hatchlings leaped over and started sniffing and nuzzling them.

The adults seemed to swirl around Pam and Snowflake,knowing Pam but curious about the Snowblider.

Ash wondered what these creatures were, watching the two come closer

A pink and teal one,they dragged their little bodies over and then started sniffing him. One nibbled on his pants a bit and the other found it a nice place to nap on his foot.

Jason knelt down and held a hand out to the one that came to him,blue,and it sniffed his hand before nibbling on his hand instead.

A pink one was nuzzling snouts with Pam and a purple one was getting to know Snowball.

"What are they?" Ash asked Pam, watching the two at his feet

"Memorils.Gaurdians of the Memory Grove." Pam explained as the pink female rubbed her side to his.She was an adult.

The purple adult was poking at Snowballs tail.

Jason was now wincing and trying to get the little blue Memoril to stop trying to eat his hand.

The two at Ash's feet seemed perfectly happy,the teal with wide eyes as he nibbled Ash's pants and the pink one perfectly happy to nap on his foot.

He didn't make any move to stop the one trying to eat his pants. "And you used to...before you just about got killed out, that is...come here all the time and communicate with these?"

Pam nodded,rubbing sides and wings with the female Memoril. "Yeah." His voice was airy and a bit sad.The eyes of the creatures danced with life and memories of so many beings and the history of all that has gone on.

Jason soon huffed and stood,the little blue Memoril hanging from his hand because the little dude refused to release the hold he had his jaws in on Jason's hand.

These creatures showed and hid memories,stories and history in this forest...they had shown Ash a fraction of Jason's past.A fraction.

So these were the creatures that showed him...he examined the tiny ones, picking one of them up
