(Sorry, ended up busier than I thought I'd be this morning)
The guard ceased his fire to reload as the clip went dry as the other rose his gun finally, nailing the other guard through the back with a rapid fire.
The guard slumped to the floor in a bleeding heap, wordless at the betrayal of his 'comrade.'
"Get going, monkeybrain, I can only buy you so much time before Sanmon has this place in full lockdown."
A familiar voice rang out, albeit muffled by the gear he was currently wearing.

"Uh, alright. Come on, Hexic." She started running towards the front of the fort, motioning for Hexic to follow. Was that Scias?

The front of the fort had been fairly picked clean already, it seemed. The few forces that were still abound were tending to the injured and were frantically looking for the escaped Daarizi.
Seemed Scias already had a plan in the works and things on his end covered.
Outside of the fort, they would be entering a city that appeared to be occupied heavily by the Exterminator army judging by the amount of freely walking Scorpino guards and citizens.

If we can somehow blend in... We might be able to just walk into the city. I hope Scias will be okay. She walked almost freely out of the fort. Just act like you belong here. Act like you belong, then walk out of the city. Don't run. Don't look worried. Just look calm. She walked into the city, with her best impression of calm, after escaping a fort and then walking into a city of exterminators.

(this is Umbra) An elegant alien strutted through the base. He had an almost godly aura to him. His long whiskers twitched as he saw the Daarzi. "STOP!" He commanded. He raised a claw and Scias was lifted off the ground.
"You have done enough!" He growled.

(This is confusing. I'm not exactly sure whats going on, but I shall try).
Corasi looked a little worried, but Hexic guessed she was trying to calm herself.

Cats help with that. I shall turn into cat and calm Corasi.

So, he turned into cat and jumped on her shoulders, using his front paws to hold onto her head.

"Thanks, Hexic." Something's wrong. Something happened to Scias. I know it. We have to get back to the base, but how? If we just go straight back, it might be a little risky. But if we duck in an alleyway, someone will get suspicious.

Scias chuckled under his pilfered, guard's armor, a bit of black, sparking ooze running down his neck where his helmet had broken down from the impact of bullets.
"Thought.. you'd never show your face, old man."

His forced, feigned Scorpino guise had melted away under his pain, leaving him humanoid once again, his bladed tail limping hanging down his legs as he was restrained in the air by the man's power. His own eyes were almost as cold, despite the cocky smile that still hung on his face regardless of his now-precarious situation.

"Your pathetic words humor me. But I've spared you enough. Ready to die, boy?" Umbra snarled, squeezing him with his hand.

"Try me. Gonna take a lot more than that." An arc of concentrated electricity rippled off his neck from his right shoulder, surging into Umbra's hands as he tried to mantain the surge under his already quickly-growing exhaustion.
