"Yeah, unless we didn't go far enough...should we go to the next clearing, see if he's there?"

"I'll go on foot no point in you risking it being a demon unless you have to right,'' Desta dismounts and carefully walks toward the next clearing.

"I'm going with you," he said, too stubborn to take no for an answer

"Don't be stupid and risk your sister and your horse than,'' Desta argues, 'they need you.''

"No. I'm going with you. Get on. We can move faster on horseback."

"Did you even ask Val if she's willing to risk her life for a horse she barley knows,'' Desta refuses.

An angered snort could be heard close by.

"We should go check it out," he said, hearing the snort. "It might be Loki. If it's not, we can run to the river on Val."
