Outside you hear footsteps, but they probably didn't hear you since you spoke to softly.

I head to the door, opening it a crack and I attempt to look out the crack of the door, trying to see where the footsteps are coming from. I decide not to call out until I see who it is.

While the two of you were walking, he couldn't seem to stop talking. "Well, dalin', where ya from? Tell me a bit 'bout yourself?"

I take a deep breath, readying myself to calm anxiety at calling this unknown women. "Hello?" I call out, peeking around the door. "Can you explain why i'm here?"

She seemed startled by your sudden appearance and jerked back before taking a good look at you and calming down. "Oh, it's another Survivor..." Her voice was soft and breathy. "Uhm, I don't know what reason you're here for... you should know, right?" She gave you a nervous smile. "Most of us came for the money, but it sounds like you aren't here for it..." She laughed. "I'm not here for that either." She seemed genuinely confused by your question.
