Yeah,he seems like the envelope pushin' type of guy,but then again that's sorta what drew Jason to Puck if he was being honest. He was drawn to the two fey for different qualities in each, different from the other.

And they were vastly different. Believe it or not, that's what caused them to become friends in the first place. Their differences. Only back then, there were two Winter fey.

And losing that other Winter fey had caused them to push apart,to separate. Jason just wished he could have done something to help and keep them as friends, even if it meant being able to give Ash back his past lover...even if that meant....that he'd lose Ash to someone else.He wanted Ash to be happy and stay happy.

For the fey, there was no past life. Nothing after death. They just...ceased to exist. So there was no possible way Jason could bring him back, no matter how hard he tried. And since his lover had died, because of Puck's willingness to push people, they had been sworn enemies ever since.

And it hurt him to know that he couldn't do anything good enough to bring them back together as friends. It tore at him,knowing...he was just as useless as people and dragons said.

But he wasn't useless. He was another way for Ash to feel, instead of just hunting, and he had save a whole realm from destroying itself, and he's going to do it again. Also, Puck enjoyed having him around.

But he still felt like he wasn't good enough to do any of that right. He felt he wasn't good enough for Ash.He hadn't saved the realm on his own and certainly wouldn't do it on his own again, and he didn't feel like it was worth for Puck to enjoy him.He felt he wasn't good enough for either of them.

Well, worth it or not, both of them wanted him, no matter how useless he thought he was. Which wasn't at all. And nobody could've saved the realm by themselves. If Jason hadn't been there, Ash would've been yeeted into war. A war that could've last centuries, maybe even longer. Both boys preferred being outcasts than that.

If only Jason understood that.If only that could quickly overwhelm his life's worth of taunts and being shoved around like a bean bag in hot potato. No one wanted to hold the bean bag once the music stopped.

If only. It seemed with Jason that either nobody wanted to hold him, or he was just about torn because, finally, people did want to hold him. Or, more specifically, fey.
