She's adjusted her hair to mostly hide the wound. Her left eye is still closed. She's clearly still feverish, but she doesn't seem bothered by that.

He brushed her hair out of the way so he could examine it better

Her eyelid is a bright red. A lot of the skin around the area is either dead or was burnt by the slow corrosiveness.

So...it was very unlikely that she would get her sight back in that eye.

She may not even be able to open her eye. Her eyelid is clearly injured- she might not be able to move it.

Yeah...if only he had an eyepatch on him. That might help some?

After a long moment, she does open her left eye. The damage isn't quite as bad as he'd expected, but it's still pretty bad. The entire top part of her eye is completely burnt and tattered, as is most of the right side. The ruined green iris is staring blindly off to the side.

But the bottom wasn't too bad?

It's not as bad as it'd seemed. The eye itself may eventually heal. However, it's clear she'll never be able to see in her left eye again.

Oof. There goes her depth perception.
