True.
Ray might be right, but they also might be wrong. Right now, Ray was the only form of moral support Jack had.

Yup, but Ray doesn't think that of themself, the whole moral support thing. They think they have caused trouble and only trouble and couldn't do any good and so they shouldn't be with Jack because they assumed Jack had better people to be with that could help him better than Ray could.

Well, if Ray was right; why wasn't Jack going to that so called better moral support than?

Ray didn't know, but they made up some excuse to themself, something along the lines of them holding him back from the moral support or something along those lines. But Ray wasn't moving, not until they knew Jack was all good again, and not just having a mask that fooled everyone into thinking he was fine... Though Jack could probably fool Ray because Ray wasn't too great at reading people accurately.

Well, they were quite wrong. Except for the mask part, Jack was good at masking himself a lot.

And with Ray's ability to read things wrong, Ray would probably leave before Jack really wanted them to.

Probaby, yeah.

Jack took maybe only three minutes to stop his tears and sobs. He took a deep breath, cleaning his eyes as he gently sat back and gave a thank you to Ray.

Ray hums a your welcome, trying to get themself to move back away from Jack. They seemed a bit frozen though, but after a minute they manage to unwrap their arms from around Jack and get to their feet. They smile at Jack.

Jack stands and calmly gives them a smile, but it was simply that. A smile. It represented no emotion.

Ray's smile turns to a small frown. They wanted to help Jack feel actually happy again. But how could they do that? They didn't know. Ray felt a little defeated, but they wouldn't let that stop them. This was a challenge and they were determined to overcome it.
