Beyond the ring of light, dark shapes shuffled towards them. As they came into the light, faery fire washed over the faces of humans--normal men and women--their features blank as they lurched forward. Most of them carried weapons, iron pipes and metal baseball bats and knives. The muscles coiled under Ash's skin. "Humans," he muttered, his hand dropping to his sword. "What are they doing? They shouldn't be able to see us."

A dark chuckle rose from the ranks shambling toward them, and the mob abruptly stopped. They moved aside as a woman floated between them, hands on her slender hips. She wore a business suit of poison green, three-inch heels, and green lipstick that glowed with radioactive brightness. Her hair appeared to be made of wires, thin network cables of various colors: greens, blacks, and reds.

Jason parted his feet and growled,pupils sudden slits and freckles turning red. "Well they do.And it ain't good I'm assuming." Mumbled Jason,glaring at the woman. The cords of her hair made flashes of what he'd seen of his older brother hit him in the head but he faintly shook it off and kept a guard up. "What do you want?" he growled to the woman.

"Here you are at last." Her voice buzzed, like millions of bees given speech. "I'm shocked that Ironhorse had such a problem with you, but then again, he's so old. Past his usefulness, I'd say. You will not have such an easy time with me."

"Who are you?" growled Ash. Puck moved beside him and together they formed a living shield in front of Jason. The lady giggled, like a mosquito humming in your ear, and held out a green-nailed hand. "I am Virus, second of King Machina's lieutenants." She blew Jason a kiss. "Pleased to meet you, Jason."

Jason didn't like two things at that moment. One,how the two other boys tried to be a shield,he could slit throats if he needed or wanted to. Two, he didn't like the kiss blown. It made him feel sick. "Wish I could say the same." He said,glaring best he could past Ash and Puck.

"What have you done to these people?" Puck asked.
"Oh, don't worry about them," Virus twirled in place, smiling. "They've just caught a little bug. These little bugs, to be exact." She held up her hand and a tiny insect swarm flew out of her sleeve to hover over her palm like sparkling silver dust. "Cute little things, aren't they? Quite harmless, but they allow me to get inside a brain and rewrite its programming. Let me demonstrate." She gestured to the nearest human and the man dropped on all fours and started to bark. Virus tittered, clapping her hands. "See? Now he thinks he's a dog."
"Brillant," Puck said sarcastically. "Can you make him crow like a rooster, too?"

Jason felt bad for the person. "That's not funny,that's cruel. He's still a person inside,I doubt he likes the change in script." He so wanted to rip this ladies face off,but then realized...if she could rewrite mental code...she could do so to Ash and Puck,even Grim maybe. And he actually didn't want that.

Something clicked in Ash's head. "You were the one that set the chimera loose on Elysium."

"Why, yes, that was my work." Virus looked pleased, though her face fell a moment later. "Although, as an experiment, it didn't quite work out as I'd hoped. The normal fey doesn't react well to my bugs. The whole aversion to iron thing, you know. It drove the stupid beast mad and probably would've killed it if it hadn't been sliced to pieces. Mortals, though!" She pirouetted the air, flinging out her arms as if to embrace the crowd. "They make wonderful drones. " And with that, she snapped her fingers and the mob shambled forward again, arms reaching. "Bring me the dragon," she ordered as the circle tightened around them. "Kill the rest."
Ash drew his sword

Jason's eyes widened. "Ya' know what,I don't like this ma'am. I'mma just..." As he trailed off he let his half form shift,swinging his tail to the side as he let sparks sputter. He flicked a hand and soon had a small strand of fire around his wrist,letting it take form of a snake as he flicked his wrist,sending it at a group of people. It didn't burn anything other than what he wanted it to. Tho he didn't burn the people he did try to disarm them. "You guys wanna fight or can I rip a whole in space and time and get us somewhere you'd rather be?" he said,half jokingly but was serious about a quick portal.

The circle tightened around him and Puck said, "I suggest we run," and with that, he pulled something from his pocket and tossed it at the crowd, and it exploded into a log, pinning two startled zombie men to the ground, creating a hole in the ring around them. "Let's go!" Puck yelled. And then they got pulled up into the tree

Jason would have rather have opened a portal and just leap out of this place but he stayed close to the two. He wanted to fight,not to kill though. Surprisingly,he wouldn't have planned to make the portal lead to anywhere but where either of the others would want.
