412213 flicks it up just as the cub could reach it. He vibrates the crystals running along his tail a little to give a little life to the hunt.

You hear shouting. Warren grunts above you, sounding stressed. "That should turn some of them back." A wall of spiked crystal has erupted in front of the tree line. Several soldiers are already hiking way, deciding it's not worth their time.

she picks up the speed "i have an hour left till my body will need to shifted back so im gonna gun it the rest of the way." she says as a dust cloud forms behind her.

In the distance, you can hear the crunching of undergrowth. Sounds like one or two soldiers were patient.

412213 lays his crystals flat so nothing can stab the cub. Otherwise, he just lets it happen.
