They appear to be diaries, and they seem to be made of the same paper the paper airplane from before was made of . The contents seem to be by multiple people, despite it being in one book, one diary. The first bit seems to be by the same person who wrote the stuff on the airplane.
I've arrived. There seems to be nobody else yet...
The mansion is big, I'll give it that. I guess the manor itself is even bigger. My invitation letter said there would be games, I'm exited, actually.
I've entered the building. The staircase sure is amazing!
I guess I'll explore a bit before going upstairs. The door to my left, it leads to the dining room. The door to my right... It's locked, but I assume it leads to the right wing. I wonder who lives there and needs such privacy, maybe it's my host?
Never mind, up the staircase I go. Three doors here. Center door is rooms, right door is rooms, and left door leads to... A library. Sure! I love books.
I think I see someone else here!
The entry by this person ends here. Their description is pretty accurate, just as you'd seen when you'd entered the mansion. A pair of double doors to the left, and a pair to the right. You read the next entry. This handwriting seems to be neater than the first, presumably older than them. The tone also seems different, as if this person worked a rather professional job that required knowledge of how to write in a very sophisticated way.
The mansion is big, but it seems foreboding. I am curious as to why I was called here. My invitation letter says that I would come to meet someone unexpected here, and that only makes the atmosphere thicker.
Why was I invited here?
At this point, the pages of the book seemed to start falling out. They swirled around you in a small storm, something very odd. Books began falling out of the shelf, their pages ripping out and joining the storm as well. Soon, so many pages are whirling around you that you can no longer see your surroundings, all you can see are the pages.
To make things worse, your lantern chooses this exact moment to blink out, leaving you in the dark, rustling of the whirling pages still in your ears.
Then, suddenly, you hear a sucking sound and a loud POP! And all is still.
The pages vanish, and you seem to be in the exact same room as before, but different... Sunlight streams in front the window before, confusing, as it was night seconds before the page storm.
The room doesn't seem to be broken down anymore. In fact, it seems like a nice place to live, everything clean and neat, and it seemed like it was frequently used.
I sit up in shock, looking around the room. I try to figure out how I got here and if I can remember anything happening after that loud pop. I stand up and walk to the window, looking out to try to see if I can see anything to help make sense of what happened.

((Since I cannot mimic a cowboy accent, I'll try my best. Forgive me if I mess it up.))
"No need to be so tense, darlin'." He tipped his hat with a small flourish. "The name's Kevin Ayuso. Ya can call me Kevin."

It was daytime, and you could see the leafy, dense trees outside. The glass of the window was perfectly clear, but you could see an iron bolt holding the window shut. Sunlight glints off of something beneath your window and you look down, finding a huge expanse of glass - it looked like some sort of greenhouse, but it was huge. It was a garden, you notice, when you squinted through the glare into the glass. A very large garden encased in what looked like steel reinforced glass. Huh.

I turn around, looking for a door. I listen, trying to see if I can hear anything; perhaps another human or animal. "Hello?" I call out softly, listening to any response.

One way down (to your right) the road went into even more blackness, the other way (the left) seemed to be lighter.
Velos decided to head left, he wasn't afraid of the dark, but decided he would rather avoid it so he could see where he was going.
