'Maybe we should go look for her. Or one of us at least.' Ember, sent, frowning. 'But then we'll just over whelm her again...' She sent as an after thought, getting more worried.
Orion leaned back against the wall, feeling horribly useless. A'ine, no idea if you can hear me, but Jora's pretty upset right now. He thought, knowing she'd have to overhear his thought since he couldn't send it to her. The chance of her hearing him was pretty low.

A'ine started feeling a bit overwhelmed herself. She tried to breath steady to keep from over hearing everyone all at once again. "Maybe I should try and find them." She said out loud deciding that shutting down her thoughts would be better then her being completely useless.
Mitch stood up. "I could go look around for them if you guys want." He offered realizing that they were all worried about the two missing people. "Any idea where I could look?" He asked picking up his guitar again.
Kali whined a little at Jora and transformed back into a human. She pulled Jora's hair away from her face and took out bobiepins and put them to keep Jora's hair out of her face. She wrote quickly on her notepad. 'They didn't like you much at home, did they?' Jora looked and shook her head as she wiped at her eyes. 'Well, I'm a mute born into a family of singers. They didn't like me either. My parents changed my name to mean disgrace after they discovered that I couldn't sing.' She smiled reassuringly at Jora. Jora gasped. "I didn't know... My parents liked me at least...' She said looking down shamefully. Kali smile widened. 'I had my sisters though. They probably helped more then anyone else in the world could...' Jora looked back up at the smiling girl. 'Sure you don't want to be hurt anymore but you shouldn't have to worry about it all the time. Plan for the worst hope for the best. What's the worst that could happen? You live in a cabin on a mountain by yourself drawing, the best? Those kids you hang around will never, ever stop being your friends.' Jora smiled a little. "You know for someone who can't actually talk you know just what to say..." Jora covered her mouth quickly. "I didn't mean it like that! I'm so sorry." The other girl was too busy to here her apology. She was holding her abdomen her mouth open her eyes closed with a smile on her face. She was laughing to the point of crying although not a sound could be heard.

Orion leaned against the wall, not wanting to go back to the dining room. He didn't want to have to tell the others that he made Jora cry again. He felt like crying himself, but he was still surprised to find he was actually crying silently. He dragged his arm across his eyes.
"Don't look for them with your mind A"ine," Ember said, standing. "I'll show you where I lost them," she said to Mitch, turning toward the door.

Jora blushed. "You hear that a lot don't you?" She asked looking at Kali. The other girl nodded and stood up wiping at her eyes smiling broadly. She held a hand out to Jora to help her up. Jora pulled herself up with Kali's help. The other girl bent over to pick up her notepad. She wrote on it. 'Your friend looked really upset that you were crying...' She showed it to Jora and shrugged. "Orion's just too nice...." Jora said in responce as the other girl lead her to the hallway that would lead back to where she had left Orion.
Mitch nodded and followed Ember. He like getting to feel helpful. "So you and A'ine are good friends?" He asked without his usual smile trying to break the silence.

Orion heard footsteps, and immediately wiped away the remainder of his tears. He stood up straighter too.
"I just met her yesterday, but yeah," Ember said. She cocked her head toward him. "You okay?" she asked, noticing a change in his cheerful self from earlier.

Kali frowned a little when she saw Orion. He should have been at lunch by now. She waved her index finger at him letting her lips bristle together like she did whenever she was frustrated. She couldn't help but notice his face was a little off looking... Like he had been crying too.
Jora looked down at her feet when she noticed Orion ahead. She may suppose to 'hope for the best' but she didn't feel ready to face Orion like an equal. She was still a mutt and would always be while he was a magnificent blue one hundred percent chinese dragon. He was a kind person though. She smiled a little.
Mitch nodded. "I just thought it'd be better not to act like this is a joke... You seemed worried about your friends so I got serious..." He shrugged smiling a little crookedly. "If you like I could go look for them and you can go back to your friends at lunch." He offered scratching his chin again.

Orion looked up in surprise to see that it was Jora and Kali who had returned. "Hi Jora," he said, smiling back weakly. "Are you feeling better?" he asked, hoping she wouldn't notice that he had been crying.
"No, honestly I don't like the cafeteria," Ember said, not wanting to return the noisy room. "Plus I have a better chance of winning the bet," she said a bit more quietly, in a slightly more upbeat tone.

Jora shrugged. "Sorry for running off again, I just.... didn't know what else to do." She confessed still looking down. She continued walking the way she had run. Kali walked next to her raising an eyebrow at her. Jora shrugged slightly at the girl still not wanting to have to try and explain to Orion why she kept just running off.
Kali fell back a bit to walk next to Orion. She started writing as she walked. 'Why were you crying?' She wrote underlining the you to make sure that he knew that Kali knew why Jora was crying.
Mitch smiled wider. "What bet?" He asked almost laughing. To him Ember didn't seem like one to bet on something but she had already surprised him once with her mind reading friend. "Is it with Alderic?" He asked thinking that he'd be the most likely to have her make a bet with him.

"It's fine! I'm sorry too..." Orion glanced over at Kali in surprise. "Is it that obvious?" he asked quietly, turning away. He hoped Jora hadn't seen the question. He realized it was a stupid worry since she was looking ahead of them.
"Yeah. I bet him he couldn't make me laugh by the end of the day," she said, thinking how pathetic it sounded out loud. She was basically saying there was no way she'd laugh/

Jora shook her head. "Nothing for you to be sorry for..." She muttered to herself walking a little faster. She didn't know why but Orion was making her a little nervous again. She just didn't know why he kept being nice.
Kali looked up with her eyes for a bit, still walking, thinking. She looked back at him and nodded slowly. 'But why were you crying? You knew Jora was fine.' She wrote then showed him.
Mitch nodded serious. "'The lady of class laughs little'." He quoted from a poem he had heard a while ago. "So what are the stakes?" He asked smiling mischievously.
