"yay!" she jumped with excitement and looked around she hasnt really seen be yawned the allyway but that one time she got chased from some cats

Mao flicked her nose with his furry tail. "Keep up. We can have you getting lost", he chuckled.

She giggled and jumped happily trying to get his tail that totally had her full attention now

Mao continued to flick his tail out of reach of the puppies teeth as he padded back to the pet district. Once in the alley he paused and let out a "hmmm", as he decided which place to visit. The wild ones Grill was likely too exotic for a puppy. He was partial to the Beantoes fish dispensary, although he doubted the pup would be into that. "Looks like the Petfood eatery is our best bet. Come on pu...er Scarlet. Bet they'll have some kind of puppy chow you'll like."

He padded over to a hole under one of the porches. "Right under here. Should be plenty big enough for you to fit." He twitched his whiskers doing a quick measurement just in case. Satisfied with the results he slid through the hole and waited for the puppy to follow.

She waddled over and slid into the hole landing on the cat "sowwy" she said dangling her tail on the cats nose

Mao let out a sigh and squirmed from under the puppy. He walked down the short tunnel to the basement keeping an eye on his canine companion. The basement was filled with groups of cushions to replace the humans idea of tables. On the floor between the cushions was where the food bowls were usually placed. Mao motioned the scarlet to follow him to an empty group of pillows and settled down on one while they waited for a member of the staff to approach.

Scarlets tail wagged against the pillows it made a little thumping sound *thump thump thump* she looked at the bowls and everything else and she was surprised she never ate in a place like this. Her tail began the thump more when she seen everybody elses food, who knew hitting your tail against a pillow made a thumping sound

(Sorry for the absence. My brother has been moving so the whole family is busy helping. They are staying with his brother in law until thier new house closes. Then we have to help them move into that one. So if my posting is patchy you know why.)

After a few moments one of the waiters approached. He was a sleek well fed looking gray rabbit. "Hey I know you, you're that detective cat. Not often we get you for a customer".

Mao shrugged, "I'm working a case and this pup needed some feeding before I get anymore work done. I presume you have some puppy food on paw."

The rabbit nodded enthusiastically, "Several of the top brands. We also have a cheesy chicken canned cat food on special today that might temp your palate sir."

Mao merely closed his eyes, "Very well then I'll have an order of that and what ever kind the young lady here wants."

The rabbit turned to Scarlet, "Well hello there sweetheart. Do you have a brand or flavor that you like. Kibblers brand just came out with a new flavor called backyard barbecue. It's a crunchy medley of chicken, beef, and turkey flavors. It's quite popular lately."

She didnt know what he was saying once she heard kibble and backyard barbecue her eyes lit up with excitement "can i have dat please" she said as she had to keep moving her ears from her face

(My stepfather's dad passed away on Sunday. We had the funeral on Monday. It's been a crazy few days. I started work on my Mother-in-Law's Christmas present today. Finally got some spare time.)

The Waiter smiled and set off with thier orders. Mao closed his eyes and relaxed slightly. His ears flicking to catch any important sounds. After a short while the rabbit reappeared with two food bowls. Mao nodded his thanks before turning to his lunch. As cat food went it wasn't bad, but Mao had always preferred the real deal to cat food. The reason why Beantoes was his usual choice for a meal. Swallowing he turned to Scarlet, "How do you like your Kibble?"
