You get to the barracks, sleep well - or not so well, I don't know - and wake up in the morning.
Someone knocks on your door. "Jack? The officer would like to see you." (or whatever you call them if they're not an officer, I'm terrible at memorizing ranks)

The sun is peeking out, a soft pink floating through the broken window. The birds were up outside and causing a lot of noise as they flew this way and that, already getting a start on their day. The air was crisp and slightly cool, which may have be energizing at another time, because Ray was currently warm and cozy. He sighs and reluctantly gets up, getting changed and putting together a small breakfast before sitting down and looking at the treasure he had stolen last night. To think that all these precious things had been so easy to get. With that guard's help.
Ray smiles to himself and stands, grabbing his darts and daggers on his way out of his hideout. Today would be a great day to go guard hunting.

Jack nodded, getting up. "Yes, sir." He said. He felt a tad nervous, not sure what he was wanted for. But he was sure going to hurry. He quickly put away his fifty percent carefully, fixed his sleeping quarters just right. And then he got his armor and helmet on.

Putting his sword and sheath on his belt, he left and went to go see his Comandar.

(Ah, yes, that. *feels silly for forgetting*)

The Commander was scrutinizing a dart when Jack arrived. "Five men dead and treasury pretty much empty... Oh, Jack! Thanks for coming. Last night, you were guarding the place and you claim to have fallen asleep and woken by the robber when you were running away. However, some say that you were aiding the thief. I can't tell for certain and I know you are a good man and I can't risk losing any more men - war has started between us and the kingdom beside us, Estazia - but I don't want any possible traitors in our midst. Which makes it hard to decide if I should keep you or not." He looks at Jack and watched his reaction through it all, his own not wavering from the stern thing he always was.

Jack kept a straight face, but his heart rate did increase. "I understand, sir. I know that whatever you decide shall be wise." He wasn't sure what to say, or if he had the right to defend himself.

"Yes, I'm very wise am I not. I could easily get rid of you, but I wouldn't want to do that. Lots of folk want to prove themself when they join the army to help aid in the war, but not all of them are up to the task. I want you to help train them." The Commander says, placing the dart on the table and fingering a paper. "You know how to do things, you've been with us for a while, I can't think of anyone better suited other than myself. But I'm going to be training a batch as well. If you need any help, come to me. Here's your group. It's small, but it's sure to grow the more people hear about it." He hands the paper to Jack. Along with a few currently meaningless names, it had a rough outline and ideas of what to work on on that first day. "I expect you to report to me on their progress every day. You're group is waiting for you at the training grounds." The Commander smiles.

He bows his head, once he'd taken the paper. "Yes sir, thank you."

"You're welcome." The Commander says as if just confirming he was the most awesome person in the world.

Jack's group was waiting at the training ground, a few were just hanging around and talking to each other while two looked like they were challenging the other, a lot of boasting was going on. One was hanging upside down from a tree branch.

Jack came out to them, and first took a look at them all. He wanted to see if they'd notice him there.

The one hanging noticed he was there and immediately dropped and came to him; something looks vaguely familiar about this person. The ones talking were absorbed in their hushed conversation. The two boasting noticed Jack but finished up what they were doing before coming over.

He smiled a bit. "Hello. Now, first I'd like to get your names."
