Somehow, you sense Mahu's emotions. Fear, yet excitement. She purrs happily and stalks over to the westernmost wall. The wall has three doors. Each one has a keyhole and it looks like your key could fit into any of them. The door on the far right has a snowflake painted on it. The middle door has a rainbow and the last door has a sun on it. Which one do you choose?

I am glad to know that Mahu is excited since I am as well. Sure, I was a little nervous and wondered what would be behind all of the doors. "There could be anything behind each one. there could be snakes, staircases, stones, stories, spiders, snakes, scorpions - I have scorpions - and much much more since that is only some of the s's." I say, gently petting my Sylesti behind the ears.
"Let's go through the rainbow one! I ruled out the other two because the snowflake one... I'm not exactly in the mood to get cold, though making a snowman seems like fun. And not the sun because I don't know what can be behind there. Any of the s's could be behind there. Sun starts with s!... You're right, I'm over thinking this." I chuckle and head towards the rainbow one, putting a hand on the handle to open it up.

It doesn't open at first. You notice a keyhole underneath the handle.

I put the key in the lock, hoping I wouldn't be stuck in this room forever. I get a tiny bit more nervous, and I chew on my lip in anticipation as I try the handle again.

It swings open with a squeal. In front of you might be the most beautiful- and colorful- place you've ever seen. A small sign is next to you. It reads, "The Meadow of Iris draws all. It draws allies to treasure... and foes to torture. Choose your side wisely." Next to the sign is a huge chest. Inside is a pair of elegant rainbow outfits. There are a dress and a tuxedo lying side-by-side, folded neatly. On both sits another collar, with a tiny box that looks like it could fit a key. Neither outfit looks particularly comfortable.

I don't like the sound of 'foes to torture '. I really wanted to keep my head, sanity, and all in tip top condition. I run a hand over the rainbow outfits, not really wanting to get into a dress or a tuxedo. "What do you think, Mahu?" I ask quietly, turning to my Sylesti. "Fo you think I have to wear it? The collar could probably fit you, but you probably don't like the look of it either. I wonder if the key fits into the lock of the box." I hold out the collar to Mahu to see what she thought of it, deciding that I would wear the tuxedo if I had to wear anything.

Mahu purrs happily and slips her head through the collar. She purrs even more when she is actually wearing it. Seemingly out of nowhere, a voice cries out, "LOOK OUT BELLOOOOWW!" and a girl around your age crashes into the cloud by your feet. Rainbow wings spread from her shoulder blades and a hat with a rainbow brim rests cockeyed on her curly black hair. She jumps up from her place on the cloud. "Hi!" she says cheerfully. "I'm Ayah! You must be new here! My mom sent me to say hi to- oooh your Sylesti is cute!- you and your companion." Anyways, I recommend going down one of these paths, but not alone- that would be bad- because there are monsters down... at least one of them, can't remember which and I THINK I SHOULD COME WITH YOU!" She's so hyper, it's almost overwhelming. In front of you are three paths. One is covered in rainbow feathers and pawprints. Another has massive pawprints and the final one has no pawprints and tiny cloudy stones.

"You should have done a cannonball or something. I wonder what would have happened if you had done that." I say, "And, hi back! My Sylesti's name is Mahu. Feel free to come with us down... One of the paths!"
She was a bit - a lot - hyper, but I could be a tad bit hyper too.
I was glad Mahu liked the collar.

"So! Where do you wanna go? Oooh this path has feathers! Pretty!" Ayah seems to be able to talk forever at the same fast, upbeat pace.

"What about the others?" I ask, trotting up beside her, keeping an eye on Mahu, hoping she wouldn't feel left out.

"I... I'm not sure. These pawprints are kinda big but this path isn't well-kept- what if I get a cloud-stone in my shoe!- and none of these paths are great." You can't help but wonder why she keeps interrupting herself. She's right, the pawprints are really big. You find it weird she didn't comment on the pawprints on the path with feathers. You sense Mahu doesn't feel too comfortable around Ayah. It's almost like she's hiding something...
