Kota chuckles " probably still bandage idiots like us up, but with more fancy equipment" he said sarcastically

Silas smiles. "Probably. But that's okay because I don't mind bandaging up idiots like you," he said, copying what Kota had said

he laughed smiling now as he proped his leg up on his other knee as he lay on the floor " I think dealing with dummies like us slicers everyday Id strangle someone"

"You guys aren't that bad. I'm surprised you aren't missing any fingers yet, though. You must be pretty skilled to not have taken out four of your fingers by now," Silas said, shaking his head.

"I dont knick myself much" he bragged a bit " Thouh i did drop that meat cleaver on my foot that day that cut to the bone" he said with a chuckle

Silas laughed. "Yeah, you were pretty jacked to do that, even if it was on accident. Do me a favor and never do that again, okay?" He asked, only half joking

" sure thing, that hurt like crazy" he said chuckling before looking up at Avery who was now sleeping making her little whining noise she does when she sleeps

" at least she is out for a little while" he sighed

He nodded. "I wonder if she'll wake up screaming. If not, I might actually get some sleep tonight," he said. Before when people had got more toxins they would have nightmares and wake up screaming, which just about scared the life out of him multiple times

Feena inspected what the other Gladers had called 'the Homestead'.

" she ran out of the glade with a pack of Lyths on her and didnt utter a noise.." he said before his tone turned serious " actually I have never heared her scream..... i think she would wake up the whole glade"
