Accepted. And the disease Quinn suffers from is called Rotterdam.
Quinn was one of the last to get off the plane, just as it exploded. The force threw her forward, landing face first. She struggled to get up.
Jake didn't hear the explosion, as there seemed to be a bubble around the Celestial.

Kayla watched him for a few seconds, wondering how he could possibly be so calm. She tried to relax herself, closing her eyes and leaning back.
Luke had gotten off the plane earlier, and was heading after Jake and Makayla when the explosion happened. He turned, his eyes wide, and spotted Quinn trying to get up. He ran over to her, pulling her up and close to him so the flames wouldn't get to her.

Jake felt like something wasnt right. "Ill be right back," he muttered more to himself than to her. He got out and sprinted where his instincts were leading him.
Quinn's vision was going blurry, darkness edged around her vision. No, I can't. I won't black out. She told herself. She felt someone help her, and looked up, just as darkness filled her vision.

She pulled herself out of the pool too, following him. She preferred not to be left alone in the creepy and empty resort, even if that meant following Jake.
"It's okay," he whispered, glancing up at the flames. But then she went limp in his arms. He could feel her pulse, and let out a sigh of relief. Luke picked her up, running from the flames as fast as he could while carrying her.
