Ooh this is kind of like a "Find the mythical creature" right? I'm in!

Kuro slowly makes her way down, her wings out and ready to fly if she falls.

As you get ready to set off on your adventure you check your backpack to make sure you have what you need. You have a canteen of water, a sandwich, a coin pouch with 250 gold, and a net. You stand at the gates of the town Liri. To your right you can see the forest and the meadow. To your left is a path that you know will lead to the lake, and later the ruins of Avalon. Straight ahead you see the desert and the mountains.

You successfully make it down, dropping into water at the bottom. As you pull yourself up towards a ledge, you feel something slimy and sharp grab your ankle. You look down and see a strange creature pulling on your leg.

I decide to head to the lake first.

Kuro yelps and flaps her wings to keep her balance. "Hello..." She says dubiously.

It pulls on your leg harder, its webbed hands surrounding your foot. It makes small high, bubbly noises, as if it is trying to communicate with you.

As you walk down the path towards the lake you can feel the land becoming wild and untamed. The path becomes thinner, older, and less traveled on. The air feels moist and muggy. You can hear the chirping and chattering of creatures around you.
