Josh sat closer to the front, nearest to the most human of the class. If only they weren't in front of everyone. It was hard to focus seeing he really didn't wish to be in the class in the first place.
As the light shifted he find himself trapped in the corner of the room in the shadow of the demon like boy who was sitting near the window.

She turned her gaze to him. "Demons? They're not bad, as long as they don't cause destruction."

"Thank you. I'm glad that you think not all humans are bad. Alright. The next step is to keep the conversation light. Don't bring up anything too personal, like religion, money, relationships, education and other personal things."

"And here's a tip for your conversation. Compliment them early. About there smile, hair, eyes, lips. And body language is very important. You don't want to cross your arms or legs, as that tells the other person that you want to isolate yourself. You want to turn your body to the other person. And then..." She cleared her throat, as she was star in to lose her voice. "And then, you want to break the " touch barrier." E best way to do that is to "accidentally" walk too close and brush shoulders or touching them on the forearm while you talk to them." She said, taking a swig from her lime green water bottle.
