The hatchling had been thinking, wondering already about the world that lay outside the shell that protected him. Was it bright? Warm? Cold maybe? What would be there when he was finally free? The possibilities were endless. Suddenly a bright light cleared his thoughts. This was it, the moment he had been waiting for. Carefully he pushed his way out, cautiously taking in his surroundings. There were many things bigger than him here, large rough things that seemed to move in a soft fashion. He couldn't help but wonder what they were. They didn't seem to be dangerous to say the least.
