Selene covered her ears at Mollys scream, scrambling backwards a little bit.
I just found it in a building, please dont be upset. You can have it if you want.
She was pretty confused as to where this came from, but she assumed Molly was just tired.
You can have a nap if you need one. You look tired. You can sleep in my nest tonight, I need to go out again.

Molly was tired and this duck she was now sure was her's so she said,
This duck belonged to me before you found it. I am tired can I really sleep In your nest tonight?
She yawned and hugged the duck it meant quite a lot to her even though to most it would have meant nothing.

Yeah. Its not a bed like youre probably used to, but it has blankets and stuff you can bury yourself in.
Selene looked over at the gun in the wall behind her, furrowing her brow. She grabbed it and stuck it in her safe bag, not wanting Molly to get hurt.
Are you scared of snakes?
She said, pulling a little cream and tan marbled python out of the bag. He stuck out his tongue and looked at Molly curiously.

As if to answer Molly srieked hugging her duck much tighter. She threw a blanket over her head so she didn't have to look at it. She shook a bit but not to terribly. It was just that she couldn't stand snakes. They terrified her.

The snake coiled back in response, startled by the sudden sound.
Hey, its okay. I was gonna have him protect you, but since youre scared, Ill put him away.
An idea dawned on her, one so devious and extreme that it just might work.
Did you know that Darkseekers are afraid of snakes?
She lied.
They get scared just like you, but you dont need to be scared because you know he wont hurt you.

I'm not a darkseeker! I am not afraid of him! You can leave him here to protect me! I just hadn't expected you to have a python.
Molly insisted.

Selene put Champagne down, letting him slither over to Molly, attempting to coil around her wrist.
His name is Champagne, and I think he likes you.

Molly let Champagne coil around her wrist. she thought Champagne was kinda cute.
I like him too
She said. She laid down duck in one arm and Champagne coiled around her other arm.

Youll be okay on your own while Im gone?
Selene moved towards the exit, listening for any signs of Darkseekers. She itched at her side with a hind paw, flaking off a scab from one of her various scratches and drawing blood. She didnt seem to notice as the thick red liquid dripped to the floor.

Luckily Molly didn't notice Selene was bleeding. She nodded and said
I'm gonna go to sleep anyway so we should be just fine.
