The piercing shriek hurted her ears. Did he kill the beast, or did he make it flee? The demon who said his name was Liam was right, it was a nice throw. She wondered what he had done with the needle exactly. It made her realize that the presence of the demons and the presence of the beast were not linked, contrarily to what she had previously thought. It was interesting to know.
It was interesting to know even if he did not make any sense. How could she had left her woods to come in this dark forest without even realizing it, how could there be children, form-changing demons and wild beasts at the same place, how could they all say think that were insulting or true without even knowing it? It could be a dream. It would explain it. Yet, the earth under her feet, the trees, the smell of the forest, the opressive air, and everything else felt real.

The woman stayed silent, lost in her thoughts. The demon Liam did not seem to appreciate her. She did not care. As if she had any reason to like him!


(I'm so sorry Isi, (and Silverlite as well since for know she thinks your character may be a demon too), she has strong prejudices against demons x). There are some kind of 'demons' in her world, and she had bad experiences with them in the past. Once she understands that he's different she'll probably be less provocative ^^ . The problem is that as long as someone is insolent to her she'll be insolent to them too. I guess your character is like that as well so it may take some time :p)

Imp sighed, and muttered to himself, "Spoil-sport," and then dropped out of the tree.

He looked at Neil who was leaning on the tree, the sat next to the tree as the tree's leaning on capacity was full. He then remarked to Neil, "I didn't even get to see what it was!" in a somewhat complaining tone of voice.

Liam sighed, and suddenly felt drowsy. He forgot about the after effects of going back to his original state. He sat down with his back to the tree, and put a hand on his forehead angrily. It would take an hour for the drowsiness to wear off. He cursed a little under his breath. This was a bad time to be like this, especially with beings he doesn't know. He wiped a small amount of blood away from his mouth.

( He has after effects from going back to the original state he was brought into the world as, it's easier for him to transform into another being, then to transform back to his demonic form.

"Thanks, i believe that this forest is chocked by some sort of vile presence. Whatever that is i have a few ideas." He stared at Liam, slightly eying the forest past him. "You seem tired. Hmm. Its been awhile since i last slept or let myself get tired." He half said this to himself. He glanced at Imp, "hmm, so you wanted it to get close enough to cause harm?" He said mockingly, and clicked his tongue. After a moment he laughed to himself, "i should be greatful that your not Kin, or that Lyn. I dont know how i can put up with their nonsense."

Imp shifted around a little bit, not looking very happy with what he was asked.

"Not, exactly what I wanted to do. But what I wanted would have been impossible with what I have, so it doesn't really matter," he explained, slowly.

But with a much different tone, a bit chipper, he asked, "Who? Kin and Lyn, that is. Who are they?"

Liam had blood in his mouth, and seemed tired, almost weak. Was he hurt, or was it only a pretense? Her mouth turned up into an almost invisible bitter grin. She did not let herself get tired and rarely really slept since a long time.
The woman wanted to know who Kin and Lyn where too, but she wanted even more to know what the threats hiding in this forest were.
"You spoke about a vile presence in this forest.Can you tell us more about it? Do you know what this creature was?"
The woman moved carefully towards were the creature had been, to look if she could see something like footprints which would tell her what kind of beasts it was. Her footsteps were very light and she made no distinguishable noises when she walked.

"Lyn and Kin are annoying creatures. with their hyper-active strange nature they drive me up a wall. well, mostly Kin." he explained to Imp. when the woman spoke Neil nodded slowly and played with a strand of his hair. "I believe its a spirit consumed by hatred inhabiting a corspes body. From what i gathered from being here it murders any creature here, but its not just that. they dont call this place 'dead forest' for nothing. i usually come here, but today it felt like i had to come. i followed the nagging feeling because i have nothing better to do. this entire forest is corrupted by evil, you might have noticed the thorny vines choking the plant life. as to what caused this? i have no idea." there were human-like footprints where the creature had been, but with gouges in the earth at the toes. indicating claws and swift, agile movement. whatever they were dealing with here shouldnt be taken lightly.

Liam looked around angrily. He was started to get ticked off, he hated showing that he was weak in any shape or form. He watched as the woman walked toward the footprints of the beast. He sat himself a bit more, to show less weakness. He flicked his tail in irritation.
" No wonder they banished me here.. " He muttered quietly to himself. He had been banished from his home realm, to this horrid place.

The woman was starting to believe that the theory she had felt asleep and someone was playing with her mind had become the more plausible one again. How this seemed familiar!
She laughed. It was not a happy laugh, but a nervous laugh.
"A spirit consumed by hatred who lives in a dead forest? I have seen something like that before."
The light in her eyes was terrifying. Surely she would not take it lightly.
"Who call this place the dead forest? Why did you come here if you know that? Please, tell me everything you've heard about this place and this spirit, even if it is only rumors." The tone of her voice was was deeply serious.
"You have been banished?" she asked to Liam.
If he was a demon, should he not be similar to the spirit who inhabited the place? Why would someone banish him here?
