"For some reason, I doubt that." I say, a light chuckle escaping my lips.

"Wow, are you accusing me of being a theif? I am highly offended," Ames said, cutting a huge chunk off the rest of the cucumber and shoving it into her mouth.

"Not yet, I'll only accuse you when you are one."

"Sure you don't want any?" Ames asked, holding the other half of the cucumber out to her.

"I'm sure- I already ate a little bit before you came here. I'm stuffed." I say, patting my smooth belly as if to say so. I look down at my dress, admiring it for the fiftieth time today. I love the way the geirle leaves catch the light, and how good it feels against my skin. I recently plucked them from one of my more exotic trees, and made this dress out of it.

Ames followed her gaze to her dress. "Hey, nice dress," she said admiringly. She looked down at her own torn pants lined with feathers and her raggedy vest dusted with sand.

"Thanks. I made it out of some of the leaves from one of my trees. If you come to the greenhouse, I can help you make one if you like." I say, hoping to get to make another one of these. I love creating things, as it's something other than pruning shrubs. I love my plants, but they do get a bit boring.

"Really?" Ames asked. "You're too nice, and I'd probably look awful in it anyways," she said, insulting herself, not the dress.

"Why would you say that? I can always make a shirt too. The color depends on your personality. That's how mine ended up this silvery lavender color," I say, hoping to get Ames on board.
"Have I even properly introduced myself?" I ask, not being able to remember.
"Either way, the name's Fen Shadowbane."

Ames ducked her head with a smile. "Okay I guess we can try," she said. "I do believe you never did introduce yourself. Then again, neither did I. Nice to meet you Ms. Shadowbane, I'm Ames," she said, grinning, and flipping her legs over the other side of the counter so she could face Fen without twisting around awkwardly.
