Fate's eyes widened. "A dragon?" Then she noticed the unusual assortment of people around her. They varied in ages, from what seemed like 13 to someone that was obviously four or five hears older than her. Some had wings, ears, tails, and heck, one even had horns.
She felt over her own head. It was fine. Then she ran her hand over her face and neck, almost screaming when she felt six cut-like lines on her neck.
Are those... gills? She drew in a breath, too shocked to even scream. She felt her legs, then looked down, seeing a small slightly faded patch of scales. What's happening to me?

I keep wandering the forest shouting the names of my family until I lose my voice. I come upon a stream of flowing, golden water, thinking it's not normal looking, but it'll do...

"I am not okay, either!" Fate yelled. "I have gills, scales, and I'm in a random forest with weird people and a dragon!" She pulled herself out of the dragon's grasp, scrambling to pull her phone out of her pocket.
The screen didn't even flash to life a she tried to power it on.
Fate turned back to the dragon, her green eyes tearing up. "Now tell me how to get home!"

shadow backed up to listen to the tree's they hadn't been talking much lately that had worried her very much she sighed and looked at fate
