I hate crushes. I've had one on a different person every year for no reason since first grade. I don't even know why I like these people, and sometimes they even end up being total ******s, but I really want to stop having them and making things awkward.

Ok, so I'm gonna go right out there and say Im terrible at this relationship thing. Im 13 and Ive never had a boyfriend (yeah i do know lots of other girls in my year who havent aswell -but... yeah). My main problem is that I really dont understand how boys work. eg. i only realised a couple of months ago that one may have liked me.... four years previously. Im also not one of those people -ok lets call a spade a spade- chavs. Im more one of the smart kids. In short I have literaally no idea how relationships work.

I have just moved up to high school, and had a few friends -they had there own, but now i have a group to fit in with. Its cool, but yeah some guys have been saying their friends like me and I think its banta, although i cannot tell. I think a couple of guys may be interested but I'm stupped to be quite frank. I dont have a crush on anyone, but if they asked me i may think about it.

What im trying to ask is: how on earth do you know when boys like you?

And if you do actually start going out how awkard would it be? How are relationships even a thing with that amount of awkward!?!


Update/Edit: Ok so one of the guys i thought may have liked me asked me out in a tech today, I said id think about it, he walked half way back to his seat and said he was joking. Apparently someone had dared him to do it/get a girlfriend by the end of the week. Not really sure why im telling you this -I just kinda needed to get it off my chest.

Although I've never dated myself I believe I know enough to give advice.

Really think about it when someone asks you out- it could make or break a relationship. Think about how they act, how they are to friends, things like that because that usually reflects upon how they act to their signifigant other.

And don't worry about the prank date thing, that happened to me at lunch and I was like "Lemme tell you this right now; no way in a million years would I go out with you" and all of his friends were like "OHHHHHHH".

Boys are the strangest creatures possibly on the planet.
Around highschool they get addicted by aliens, and then they come back liking girls and all of us are left over here like, "What?"
To be honest, if a guy likes you, it can come down to three things:

He flirts a lot
He acts like he absolutely hates you
He tries to be your best friend.
Flirting as in, "I'm making you something." Or if he sits with you at lunch whereas he wouldn't normally, or he actively seeks out things the two of you have in common and exploits them.
