Staring at her for a moment he had a slight glare to his eyes. He didn't like how it sounded like she was trying to calm a wild animal. Swaying his tail he got up and said "Listen, Fish ears, Kitty, I'm only going to say this once so you better listen." He said standing up on his hind legs so he saw eye to eye with Kitty. (He was standing not on his tippy toes.) His tail moving back and forth.

Zear glanced at the window that Vyp was currently watching them from before turning her attention back to Quest. "Um... Yes?" She sounded a bit scared, since she really didn't mean to offend him, she just wanted to be nice.

Narrowing his eyes, he spoke clearly. "I, will not sugar coat thing, I will give you the cold, hard truth. I will not act fake, nice when I hate you or any of that jazz. I hate a LOT of people/sylestia's. You have to earn my respect before I respect you. And I will use your nicknames more than your real names." He had a lot more to say, but kept to himself for know. Sitting back bout he started to groom himself a bit.

*huff* 'he could've at least tried to see Zear's point of view. How is she supposed to know what will offend him and what won't? It's not like she's a social butterfly...' Vyp thought to himself before moving to a windowless room and sleeping.
"I understand that. But please don't take anything I say in a rude way, I never mean it like that. as for the nickname of 'Kitty' I actually like it better than my real name. As long as it's not rude or demeaning, I don't care what anyone calls me." Zear's voice had taken on a serious tone, and her usual smile was replaced with a plans expression. She even began to unconsciously create an illusion of thin black mist that surrounded the ground near her.

Seeing Fish ears walk towards the house, Scourge's gaze snapped back to Kitty's. He had a serious expression as well, sniffling he saw her illusions. Unconsciously seeing her illusions as a threat, he started shifting the shadows around him making shadow weapons. Feeling they were at a standoff he glared and said "Listen, Kitty," He started clenching his fists narrowing his eyes at Kitty. "I don't trust you a lot, so one wrong move and.." He trailed off looking at her.

Zear looked questioningly at Quest before she noticed a small wisp of black in the corner of her vision. "It's obvious that you don't trust anything easily. Which is honestly probably a good thing. But this black must is an illusion, one I didn't notice I was creating. And to prove that-" she stopped talking and focused on her illusions. She made the black most into a colored form. One that looked like herself. She then made it float into the air dissipate into small specks of intangible glowing dust. "I can see how black most would look like a threat. I apologize for that." Her voice was emotionless this time, reflecting get ever changing mood.

Starting at her, he turned and went to his makeshift den. His shadow still pointed at her. Curling up, he placed a shadow gate guarding him. Hiding in the shadows, he also left a shadow version of himself to guard him.

'If he is that mistrusting then why is he staying so near? I don't fully understand his mind... Oh well. I do wish he wouldn't judge me so harshly so quickly. Maybe I did bring that on myself though. Hopefully he doesn't hold a grudge against me, I need more friends.' Zear thought to herself and she went inside looking for Vyp.
"That didn't seem to go well. Sorry I brought him here."
"No, it was my fault. I offended him first. And even though I didn't mean to it still upsets me. I also lost control of my illusions for a bit and they became threatening. Did you know he can control shadows?"
"It's not your fault. And no I didn't know that. I'm staying here until I trust him. Don't even try to argue with me."
"Vyp, I don't particularly trust him either, but he hasn't given any reason to not trust him. I mean, I provoked him before he started to get hostile toward me. I trust him enough that he won't do anything harmful without reason."
"Still staying."

Flicking his ear, Scourge heard Fish ears and Kitty talking. "Shadow..." Don't trust him..." Rolling over he got up and left the den, fazing through the gate. Walking around, he wonders what was around here. Sniffing the air he smelled fresh grass! Hearing his stomach giving a loud rumble. Sprinting over, he tripped and tumbled in the field in paws and fur. Sitting up, he shook his head and begin to search for some good grass to eat. Finding grass he would he beagan to gorge on the grass like a pig.

"Vyp, did you know that I can feel the presence of the sylestis in this area? But I can't feel your presence. Or Quest's and if a sylesti is very close to you they seems to disappear until the move further away. Maybe it's cause I've been around sylestis so long?"
"Why are you telling me this now?"
"Because when I first met you, you felt like a sylesti. And before I found out he wasn't, Quest did to."
"I don't know. Let me sleep."
"I'm going outside."
Zear padded outside and up the stair-like branches of her favorite tree. From there she could access the roof of her home. She saw Quest foraging and was a bit happy that he at least trusted the land near her home. Not wanting to seem odd she turned a bit do it was clear she wasn't watching him, but she made sure he was respectful of the land. There were few sylestis in the clearing right now. She was watching them and playing with illusions.
