It was as much trust as she could expect from anyone, given the circumstances. At least if I'm wrong there's backup this time, Anna told herself. If they got out of this alive, she'd have to thank the stranger for that. Right now it was time to work, and see if her hunch had been right.
"Pleasure to meet all of ya," Anna smiled brightly.
Anna was watching Murphy play, but noticed the shy girl tie a ribbon over her ears. "He is quite exuberant tonight. We often stay ta ourselves unless we're preforming, mostly we play at small venues. Nothing big or fancy, just me, my guitar and Murphy traveling. I'm from Ireland, but we moved ta the US when I was five. As for how I got here, I walked. Ya see a lot more things that way if ya ask me. What about ya? What brings ya to this tree who's borne witness to so much sadness? I thought at first ya might be mischief makers. Then I noticed ya covering them noble folk's remains ta shield them from the rain. That's a very kind thing ya did for them."
This could go so badly so very quickly. It was risky to call them out this way, but Anna had chosen her words carefully; made sure her tone was soft and friendly, her gentle smile never left her face. Hopefully they'd either see her as a sympathizer, or they'd realize she was a supernatural. Meanwhile, Murphy continued playing with Sin, completely oblivious to what Anna was saying.
