Haha I hear ya! I just spent the majority of my money resetting all my pets heh.
For my part I have a tank in the middle and 2 squishys (I call them that too :P) on the edges.. so far it's worked okay for me.. but honestly I don't see all that much of a difference between that and having them all equally stated between Health, Str/Int and Dex/Agi... maybe just because I'm at a lower level?
I also have specific pets for my missions now, where each pet has all their points spent in one stat.. that seems to be going okay too except for when multiple missions want the same stat.. boo! :D

I need to do more quests, since my gold is very low and I can't reset anything meh.
I'm still not sure how I want my pets, but probably a mage at least, maybe a tank, still not sure about the third pet I have. That's the only part I don't like about games where points have to be distrusted, got to figure out where to put them haha.
I've done one mission with my main pet and I completed it! Woo!

For missions, just make sure the pet you use has good stats for the emphasized state.

I'm starting a little breeding project.. what do ya think?
If all goes well, I'll end up with this..
