(Ooh, Alexis has got some sweet gear then! It's gonna be fun once she gets to use them. Haven't watched the movie, but the clips with Death in them are great.)
Kavaratti supposes that Terrible Terrors truly aren't much in comparison to the other possibilities that could be lurking in the woods. Still, the twin scythes that Alexis are carrying do little to reinforce her words about their safety.
"Are those the first things we're working on?" he asks, "or are those your weapon of choice?"
It's not something he's seen before, and none of the other Vikings are carrying anything of the sort. They're definitely an invention of hers, though he's yet to settle on whether they're beneficial or unsuccessful ones.

(Same here. Plus, they can be combined to make a double-edged staff like in the final battle of the movie! The wood is really durable too so nothing short of the Hulk can break the staff in half, and only firepower rivaling the Red Death can burn the wood. The metal is a prototype of Gronkle Iron, considering she doesnt have an actual gronkle to use for fresh iron, just scraps they leave behind. Oh, and the blades can be partially collasped so she can have really sharp brass knuckles, like in the scene where Death is scaring Puss in the crystal room of past deaths.
Basically, with these scythes, shes a bad a s s.)
She grinned. *these are some of my best work. These have gotten me through multiple battles, rarely need sharpening, and are sharp enough to cut through trees, flesh and bone, and even metal.* she spun them around in that really cool way in her hands before sheathing them. She grinned. *and anyone who has asked me for a duel has needed to get new blades and axes after the fight because I cut the blades apart. The Vikings dont use them because theyre small, but thats why I like them. Theyre lightweight and easy to handle. In any case, these are perfect.*

(Ooh, they're definitely masterworks then. Love that Alexis gets to pop off with them! :D)
Kavaratti walks beside Alexis as they head towards the forest, listening to her explanation as she twirls the scythes.
Hearing something interesting, he pauses, and then, "What metal did you find that can cut through other metals?" Kavaratti asks. It's something that's more beneficial to warriors than hunters, but even more beneficial to general living if isn't too difficult to gather.

She shrugged. *I dont really know. Its similar to iron but I cant confirm it. I find scraps of the metal near buildings destroyed by Gronkles. I just got a lot of scraps, melted them all together, and made the blades. I guess it could be a chemical reaction from the gronkles boulders that it fires but Im not completely sure. In any case, the metal is incredibly durable and sharp, not to mention it takes a long time and a lot of heat in order to melt.* she grinned and then pointed to a large dead tree. *watch.*
She walked over to it, pulling out her scythes, before swinging wildly and gracefully. She obviously had practice. The tree seemed to hang in the air after being cut multiple times before it collasped, looking like a Timberjack cut through it multiple times.
She smirked. *my best creations can cut through pretty much anything.

It's a shame Alexis acquired her reputation so early. She could have become great here with those scythes, if only she took the opportunity to fight instead of building contraptions. Her scythework is fast, and the blades seem sharp enough to carve through dragonhide. As it is, he'll find Alexis the opportunity to share her inventions because there's she guaranteed to go far once she does.
"Have you used Gronkle scraps for anything else?" he asks. "We may be able to try in the future, if you have molds."

She nodded and ran off. She returned and pulled out a wickedly sharp sword from a sheath, similar to a great sword knights would use. *this is Gigan. Its the same metal but it was too heavy for me to wield effectively, plus I like using both hands. But I think that you would be able to use it effectively, if you would like it. If not, the I have moulds for other weapons and extra scraps.* she said with a smile. Then her smile turned wicked, and perhaps a little insane. *and my Scythes are named Grim and Plague, by the way. I also have a bow with arrowtips made of the same stuff, and the arrowtips can be set on fire if dipped in oil and set alight before firing. I call the bow Bowser. I can bring it here for you to examine, if you want.*
That smile made him pause as a chill went through his body. She was looking at him like he was either a freind, a threat, or an appetizer to eat.
She is f u c k I n g terrifying when threatening. shes even scarier then most dragons.
(Yeah, being constantly abused and ridiculed by Vikings has not done good things for her mental stability. It basically gave her a second personality that is similar to a Yaujta from Alien Vs Predator - a professional killer that, while having a sense of honor, lives for the hunt and for combat. The personality is also kinda cruel and crazy.
And this is something I just thought up 5 minutes ago so it may seem weird but I like it. A kind, happy girl great at inventing stuff while dealing with abuse, and a crazy Amazon woman that lives for battle and bloodshed that was created by said abuse. Two contrasting personalities in one body, that both get along. Seems fun.)

(This one was a lot of fun, the way you described all the weapons and then added Alexis's two personalities, I love it! It was very inspiring while writing Kavaratti's perspective, gave me a lot to work with. :D)
Kavaratti watches as Alexis departs with the promise of more weaponry, leaving him to wait. A glance reveals the woodland to his side, but the hunter shrugs, deciding that examining other inventions couldn't hurt. Viewing and improving, there wasn't much difference for him, provided that Alexis learned how to control her accidents before she started experimenting again.
So when she returns, carrying a sizeable sword, he listens to her boast about her works with quiet attentiveness.
Holding out his hands when she offers the weapon out, Kavaratti grasps ahold of the great sword. It's a bit lighter than he was expecting for a weapon of this size, but still considerably heavy. He steps away from Alexis, makes sure that she's a safe distance away, and gives it a practice swing. The weapon is different from what he's used to, and it'd mean he couldn't use a shield, but the weight could add a nice punch. Get through the armored hide of certain infamous species.
He returns it to its sheath as Alexis tells him the name of her other weapons. A glance, and he sees pride on her face in addition to a worrying smile. There's a wrongness in it. Brutality buried beneath her skin, grinning out at the world from the gaps between curved lips.
"If you want to fire the bow a few times, I'll something to put the fire out with, just in case, and we can meet up here," he says, hoping that it'll get the vicious grin off her face.

She smiled, her insane grin replaced with her usual happy smile that made Kavaratti feel relieved that she wasnt being scary anymore. *great! Ill go grab the bow and a few other weapons i made. While none are made of the same material, they are still very handy and sharp! Or good at bludgeoning, now that I think about it.* she mused, taking a faraway look in her eyes.
But her eyes. . .
They changed. Not physically. But they gained a certian. . . Apathy, and bloodlust. The scary smirk from earlier reappeared, causing his blood to chill into ice from an instinctual terror he hadnt felt before when fighting dragons. Before, she would t hurt a fly. But now? With this change in her appearance and personality?
She would find a way to build an atomic bomb and detonate it on her father. and she would laugh before building a throne from his bones.
She shook herself, her appearance reverting to her happy, kind self, and she rushed off.
A few minutes later, she returned with a powerful bow made of the same metal strung to her back and a quiver of arrows beside it. The bow had a powerful string on there, similar in strength to steel. It also was strangely white.
She grinned and pulled out her bow, holding it out. *made from the same metal, leaving it lightweight and fireproof. The string, while technically not my creation, is utilized in a way thats only done by me. Its spider silk. Ounce for ounce, stronger than steel, according to my tests. The arrows are made from the same wood as the handles of mg scythes and the arrowtips are the same metal as my scythes and Gigan.*
Then her expression and body posture took on that scary look again. *it has a range where If I pulled back hard enough, it could shoot over the entire island. Im not strong enough to do that, of course, but Ive ran tests, and thats what its capable of. What I can do, though, Is shoot it into a dragons eye and brain while its flying past.*
Yep. Its official. This new personality is SCARY.

Brown eyes meet Alexis's, and Kavaratti pauses as his eyes gaze into hers, evaluating. Alexis seems dangerous right now, in a bad way. Not feral--too calculating for that, too thoughtful--but with the same predatory instinct that he associates with the dragons that have a reputation for being man-eaters.
Not towards him though, so he dips his head, returns to inspecting the gift in his hands. "I wouldn't waste good arrows on bludgeoning," he says, tone steady even as the corner of his lips quirk. He keeps his eyes fixed on the sheath, running his fingers over the leather, admiring its workmanship, and missing Alexis's subsequent transformation.
He looks up to watch her go, an ingrained habit, before departing to the inn to retrieve the aforementioned blanket. He returns to the sight of Alexis grinning, the one he's accustomed to this time, before she begins to explain the intricacies of this weapon's creation. Spider silk, huh? He's never heard about its strength, but that'll come with being as thin as a hair.
"How large are your spiders?" he asks, "if you can find strands that thick?"
And then she shifts, cold and calculating while she lists of the weapon's capabilities. Inventor and wielder, Kavaratti thinks. Loving creator and vengeful protector.
He shifts his hands so that they're beside Alexis's, traces parts and machinery into the air. "You may be able to use your Gronkle scraps to fashion a crossbow out of this," he says. "Tap into that potential you can't use yet. Might want to experiment with settings though; you'd lose all your arrows if you fired them that far."

She chuckled and looked over, relaxing back to her happy self. *the spiders arent massive. Theyre as big as my hand at the largest. However, I just collect a lot of thread carefully and tie or stick it all together. This took me over a year to create.* she then took on that cruel look again and, curiously, licked her lips before baring her teeth grinning. He got the impression that, for some reason, she either used other spider parts in her weapons, or, based on her licking her own lips, she ate the spiders. And likely quite gruesomely.
She then relaxed when he mentioned making a crossbow and her eyes widened as she thought about the possibilities of that invention. *. . . I believe I would need to make a second bow to have proper crossbow parameters, but that is a great idea!* she said. *and yeah, I figured that about the arrow range.*
(Now time for plot!)
Then her eyes widened as bushes rustled nearby and in the blink of an eye, her scythes were in her hands, and she began to growl. It reminded him of a wolf or a bear or a dragon - an apex predator on the hunt, or preparing for a fight. Her eyes took on a strange faraway look as she seemed to lose control, crouching into a posture that would provide balance and control.
Its like an animal just possessed her, and its f uc k I n g terrifying.
