Artemis smiled softly and walk towards the boy. He placed his hand on his shoulder and says, "You are a good kid. Most don't care for their parents."

Bradyn's eyebrows pulled together, but he didn't look up. Not at Artemis, anyway. "What? Surely that's not right." Maybe he's just been away from society for so long that he's just forgotten.

Artemis chuckles and says, "Sadly it is true. Most people think that parents are overbearing or something that people can exploit their kindness. But as children deserve parents. Not all parents deserve kids,"

He could think of a couple of situations that could fit that. Bradyn shook his head again. "Sure, but you're not going to ask nothing of me." From what he had heard, Artemis always had a price for everything. Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn't.

Artemis chuckles and says, "That is correct. The price varies from client to client. But it will never be unfair nor a cheat to each client, "

Bradyn shook his head. "I don't understand how people still come to you for help. Fair to you might not be fair to another."

Artemis chuckles and says, "Some may call it fair for me but I enjoy the simple things then most elves does. I don't need a lot. Money? Don't need. Livestock I don't need either since I can hunt for food or trade with the merchants. Humans came to me because I can help and their lif improved. But some was for greed which lead to their downfall. Some even tried to lie about why they have seeked me,"

Artemis shakes his head and says, "But some came to learn. Others for wisdom. Not once have my price has been unfair. "

Bradyn's eyes were wide. "What did you ask of them?" He asked quietly.
