Due to the lack of heat from the flame, I could only assume she had no intent - or capability, judging from earlier's soothing ember - to hurt me. "It's true! Sybille and I were flying when we saw a glint from below, so we decided to investigate. I see now that it was you we saw from the sky. We just came from the mountains," I continued, pointing to the now barely-visible mountain range behind us. "That's where I met her, actually. She was all alone with her eggs, I let her use my bag as a nest so she joined me as a companion."

I'll fashion a lasso out of the vines draped off the old tree as quietly as I possibly can, then hide it behind my back, make myself look as gentle and nonthreatening as I can. Once I've completed this, I'll say in a gentle voice, "Hello there. I mean you no harm, I do hope I haven't frightened you."
