"Screw cats!" Hope barked. "I don't care about them....... and anyways why is Katana here?"

"Hope, no need to be rude. She helped Katana bring Charlie back to the precinct, so at least try to be respectful. Katana's here because she's worried about her old partner," Duke scolded her lightly.

"Okay fine... I just don't like the smell of them." Hope said.

Duke hummed, "Not everyone can smell like fresh spring flowers."

Katana Nodded "Thanks Duke Do you know If they still have my vest? It might be useful on the streets if something like this happens again"

Duke shook his head, "You know the process the humans go through when their animal partners die. Since you vanished, Charlie thought you had died. They burned your vest, just as they would have you had you actually done so."

"Okay...." Hope grumbled.

She nodded "It sucks that the lab doesn't communicate with the officers at all"

"Thank you," Duke said, "Who knows, you may actually get to like her. She seems pretty chill."

"Yeah," Duke nodded in agreement, "Though, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose."
