His face paled and he looked like he'd be sick. He didn't understand why that had gotten to him, why it made his stomach feel heavy and his throat feel dry. "..." He shook his head, running a hand through his blond hair as he got his composure back. "...No." he said quietly.

Carter looked confused, turning to look at Kris with concern in his eyes.
"Are you okay? What did Hope do?"
Hope turned to Carter, "You and Hayden are the only ones that can't practice, you must be ready when the time comes. Kris, I would suggest you keep practicing, try hard. Remember what you have seen."

Siren stares at the gem amazed, "I think I knew somebody with a similar ability... though they were mostly a legend.." Siren focuses again, this this time the cold air turned to a mini snowstorm. her paws started to freeze again. she focused harder and a shard of ice came out of the ground in front of candy.

He forced a flirty grin to Carter. "Nothin' I can't handle." But he gave a nod to Hope, his stomach still felt very sick as he couldn't shake off that image.

"Good job," Hope says walking up beside Siren, "Now try to trap Candy in the ice without freezing her. And it's not an ability, it's a thing all Pompani are born with," She shot a quick glance at Coins, "And Kris, try doing it again... make him do something extreme."

Kris looked to Carter, actually seeming a bit uncomfortable. He didn't want to order sweet little Carter around. "Alright, extreme..."

Carter was standing there nervously, trying not to think bad thoughts. He won't hurt me. He won't hurt me, he thought pushing his dark thoughts away, he knew Kris wouldn't purposely hurt him. He was his friend, although sometimes he wished he was more then that, not like he would admit that again, not after what happened last time.

Kris didn't seem to want to hurt Carter. 'What's extreme but won't hurt him, and why do I not want to risk hurting him? Just, focus. Extreme, extreme.' Like me, he couldn't really think of anything safe but extreme.

"ok" she shatters the ice spike out of the way and tries one last time. she thinks sphere, a strange icy glow drips off her paws she strains trying to focus it in a larger area. she slams her front paws on the ground freezing an orb-like shaped prison around candy. Siren looks up, "eep! sorry candy-"

"Good job," Hope hops over, tapping her stick on the ice as it slowly disappeared, revealing a startled but okay Candy, "You must be wondering why I am training you? I'll show you!"
She walked over to Siren, placing a paw on her shoulder. Suddenly they where beside the lake.
"You must freeze this," Hope explained as she pointed to a dark shape under the water, "That is the only way we can get the water safely."
She stepped away from Siren and the image disappeared.
"I would suggest practicing freezing huge surfaces," She said turning to Kris thoughtfully, "How about you make Carter jump off that cliff? Don't worry, he will be fine."
