He blinks in surprise. "I can't have tea, but thank you for the offer."

"In the future if you need a safe place to hide let us know. Our kind need to help each other and as long as you don't murder anyone, we will help you," she says. She was paler then normal but still tries to stand strong.

He smiles and nods. "Thank you."

"It's not a problem. After all you did help Drake yesterday," She responds.

"How did you know about that, Mom," Drake asks.

"Dear Drake, do you really not know who visited me yesterday?"

Drake raises an eyebrow.
"Magic has never left this world, it's only been ignored or hidden."

"What sort of magic do you have?" Daire asks curiously.

Mrs. Waverider smiles, "Just wait until tonight to find out. It's too dangerous now especially with the poaching lately."

He nods. "Alright."

"In the meantime, you must be hungry, I don't know if you like fish, but we have freshly caught fish and a couple of racks of lamb."

"I prefer land meat, but fish is fine too." He shrugs. "And don't give me any plants, please. Ever since I became a kelpie I can't digest them."

"Do you think it's any easier for us," Drake mutters, "I'll cook Mom. It's not hard for me cook fish."

"Do you know what you're doing with the lamb? Or would Daire like to help cook as well?"
