That's good, but I understand why some things can happen and people cant continue.)
Jack said nothing.
Right then, his mother came in with the things for Ray. But she was sad as she saw them leave. "Were's your little friend going? Jack?" She saw her son crying for the first time in many years so was concerned.

(Same. What plays have you been in? Doesn't have to be big ones. The ones I'm in aren't, lol.)
Ray shut the door behind them quietly before heading in the direction Jack had brought them from. They retraced their footsteps, sometimes walking backwards just for the fun of it. They stayed clear away from the walls, instead heading back to their hide out. They sat cross legged on the floor and looked around. The place was a mess. Ray decided they could clean up and then move away so they couldn't hurt Jack again.

(I've been in Peter Pan, the Lion King, Annie, Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, and little Mermaid. Probably a few others from when I was really little that I don't remember. Oh, and Jingle bell Beach.)
Jack just sobbed silently.
Jacks mother put the food on a little wooden table and tried to go out and find Ray. She forgot that she got lost easily and probably would need help getting back.

(Oooh! Fun! I've been in... Um... *tries to recall the times I've acted but finds it hard because there's a large gap from when I played in the one I've been in and the ones I've been in before* I've been in the Comedy of Errors. That's the latest one I've been in.)
Ray felt like they had left something at Jack's mother's place, so they headed back for it and met Jack's mother on the way.

That sounds fun! ^w^)
Jacks mother, I'll call her Bethany, smiled as she saw them. She gently took their hand and began trying to take them back to the little home. "Goodness, dear. You have to eat, you need your strength." She said in a kind but slightly stern motherly tone.

(Yup. I was on the ensemble and moved boxes and looked like a pirate and it was awesome. Then in the fifth act, I was Aemelia, the abbess. You've been in a lot more plays than me. You'd probably be a lot better.)
Ray hesitates before letting her lead them. They weren't exactly hungry, other feelings leaving no room to feel hungry. They weren't exactly good at making any conversation and their thoughts were on Jack, wondering if he was going to be alright.

(Nah, I'm not too good. My dancing is always off, my voice changes accents like my body changes oxygen to carbon dioxide. A lot. xD And I'm too loud back stage.)
She noticed how silent they were and stopped outside the house. "Dear, is something the matter? Jack is crying, odd enough, and you have been quite silent."

(Man. If only I could find an accent... I just sound like me on stage. *dies* And - during the Comedy of Errors - I was supposed to talk slowly and to pronounce each word, but with nerves and braces, I kept speeding up my lines and by the end, my words were incoherent. TwT We were snacking on celery, carrots, jicama and cookies that we brought backstage *evil laughter* during the rehersal, a few of us started quoting and acting out the scene happening on stage when we were backstage... I'll pretend we didn't get in trouble for that.)
"I made a mistake and I don't think I can reverse the effects its had on people." Ray sighs, looking anywhere but at Bethany when they spoke.

I worked a while on the accents, but they're not perfect. xD And me and my friends did the same thing!)
Bethany gently touched his good shoulder the same way Jack had once, he'd gained a kind manner from this woman. "Well, maybe you can keep any more mistakes from happening. We cannot change our past, but we can change our future; for it is yet to be."

(I love friends, they're fun. And when you're friends are actors it's super fun because you'll understand inside jokes and quotes and things. Other friends are awesome, too, and you can connect with them and be funny and weird with them and make your own jokes and it's all fun!)
"It's sometimes hard to change our future when the choices we've made before limit the roads we can take." Ray says sorrowfully. They open the door and motion for Bethany to enter first.
