Jora turned towards him "Oh.... um....." She really didn't want to tell him but she wanted to at the same time. She closed her eyes and shook her head trying to get rid of the battle going on in it over telling Orion. "Well, phoenix kids who know they can do anything to you without you hurting them back like to exert their power." She started it looking at her hands instead of Orion now. "But when they torched my first sketchbook they had a few bruises. I still didn't have the art anymore........" She said, sounding confusing to even herself.

"Torched your sketchbook!?" Orion exclaimed, his voice raised, but luckily it wasn't audible to most of the people in the class. This was why he wanted to go to her village. Maybe he could stop them from hurting her again. "I can't believe they would go that far...." he said. He knew he had to go to her village now. He touched her shoulder lightly, trying to get her to look back up. "They won't do it again," he said quietly, with an undertone of anger. Not when I'm around anyway. He thought. He looked at Jora's drawing, which only made his anger grow. How could anyone destroy drawings like those? he wondered.

Bmr, Yin,
Bella took the paper excitedly from the teacher. Writing! Yes! She'd get to do something she was good at! She listened as A'ine asked a question. Fictional or not, she was okay with both. she hoped for fictional though. She took out a pencil and wrote her name on the paper.
Corwin got the paper, excited. He wrote his name on the paper, half messily. As he heard pencils scribbling, he turned to Bella. She looked like she was excited also. "Maybe she likes writing..." he thought.
Cian,
Krizia smiled. "There's no need to be shy! Everyone here looks pretty nice!" she said happily. She tapped her feet under her desk. She hoped class would start soon.
Loli,
Lily laughed along with her. "Yeah! That'd be cool!" she said. She looked around once more. Surely there would be a teacher, right? Soon, maybe? She hoped everything would be alright.

Jora turned her head slightly at Orion's touch, so that he could see half of her face. She smiled sweetly. "Yeah. Well, it was a really long time ago and they got their bruises from it." She thought of how they had decided to 'up' their game on the grounds she was dangerous and what had happened next. She flipped through the pages of her sketchbook holding the pages up so that Orion couldn't see the one she was looking for. The drawing seemed calm but it somehow brought the panic back to Jora's mind. It was the one she drew earlier. She heard Orion say something about them never torching her art again. "Yeah, they move onto bigger things...." She looked back at the little girl in the drawing and closed it back over and looked at her mother's scarlet eyes.

"What do you mean, bigger things?" asked Orion, getting apprehensive. He felt bad for prying, but this was serious. Could she mean herself?! This is just getting worse and worse. I can't believe anyone would do that to her. Is is really just because she's a chinese dragon and a phoenix? That doesn't seem possible..... I mean can anyone hold that much hatred over someone because of that? He saw her turn flip the pages, wondering what she was hiding behind the covers of the book. As much as he wanted to know, he couldn't take it from her. Besides he might make untrue assumptions based on the drawings. Orion wondered what to do next if she wouldn't answer him.

Jora didn't want to talk about it, she knew that those kids were really dumb and just being kids... She thought so at least. "Oh just other things that they thought were worse." She said lying a little. For a second a blank expression crossed her face as she flash-backed to the small lake by her house. She shook it off putting a smile on her face. "So, what was you home like?" She asked trying to change the focus onto him. She felt bad for dumping all of her woes onto him. If he had anything remotely close to her she'd like to hear about so she could try and help.

Orion narrowed his eyes, wanting to know exactly what she was talking about. I can't ask now. i've pressed too much already. She's reached her limit. His gaze softened, and he decided to answer her question. "The valley we lived in was cursed, and I mean that literally. It was always cloudy, and almost always raining. The mist was gorgeous though. Not many people lived there, and the people who did lived there because their families had done so for generations," He was about to talk about the people of the village, but then he realized she already had enough troubles of her own, more than he did, without him heaping his own problems on her. He decided to tell her about there trips to the ocean. "We visited the ocean often. After all, we are dragons of the water. Even when we went there, I never saw a sunset or sunrise because of the tradition. None of the people in the valley could see either. I'm still not supposed to. Anyway, I loved the ocean trips," he said, hoping to distract her from her troubles. Jora.... why won't you tell me? he wondered, thinking of her statement that they had torched something worse than her sketchbook.

Jora had noticed he fail to mention about the people where he lived. You're not getting off that easy, Orion! I've dumped to much on you to not hear about what happened to you.... I can try and help. She realized something he said as he told her about the trips to the ocean. "I've never been to the ocean. What do you mean you're not suppose to see the sun set or rise?" She asked honestly concerned about it. It was one of her favorite things that kept her going at home. She couldn't imagine what would have happened if she didn't watch the sun as it set every night and rose every morning.
(My brain is jumbled sorry if this is hard to read!)

I'm not revealing anything else until you tell me what you meant earlier. I want to help. "It was an old tradition, since no one in the valley could see it," he explained. "Do you see sun sets and rises a lot?" he asks, wanting to know what her experiences with the sun sets and rises were. How could you upset someone with talking about something that happens twice a day? If they've never seen one. Orion reminds himself, finding the irony of it all rather funny. "It was a stupid custom. But people never broke it. I guess I'll be the first. I want to see the sun set tonight," he explains, excited to see the thing he's heard was so beautiful.
