He nods. "Lovely little area. Just a bit dangerous in fall with all those leaves hiding where the water starts."

"Yes, it is and the water isn't the only thing hiding there. Did you hear anything strange while you were there?"

"No, I didn't."

"Alright then," Drake frowns, "I don't know much about the forest, but I have heard rumors for a friend who lives there about the Willow Maid reawakening. She's a fairy and several fairies are with her too. You know how they can be sometimes."

"Think there might be a naiad on the lake I became a kelpie from. Definitely some sort of water creature down there and it looked human." He suggests casually.

Drake smiles slightly, "That would make sense. Depending on the naiad I might know who they are."

"Unless it's a mermaid or something. But she didn't look fishy. She was definitely female, and she looked very human." He describes as he starts sanding some more wood.

"Can you give me a location? Naiads don't like moving from their respective lakes or ponds too much so it might the one I know. Then again it might not be."

"Same lake by the willow and the decorated birch."

"Oh, her lake," Drake responds, "Tonight I can ask her but don't expect much she and I have a relationship but it's not that friendly."

Drake's mother interrupts the conversation, "After you about ate Nadia, I can't blame her."

"Mom," Drake looks at his mother embarrassed and outraged.

"To your defense she looked like a fish and it was your first time having transformed. Hello young kelpie. Would you like some tea?"

Drake's jaw drops. He hadn't told her anything.
