(Sans is encountered in the hall at 3, Asgore at twilight. BUT! There are actually two twilights; Before sunrise and after sunset. You see one of those at the end of the Pacifist run. Since Frisk has been traveling east through the Underground (Thank you Papyrus, you lad!) and the sun is ahead of her by the time they free everyone, that must mean that it's a sunrise. Therfore, she was fighting robots and goats all night.
But hey, that's just a theroy...
