And the tiny hybrid had automatically liked her,as she had Luke,and had found that she was very kind and that she liked to see green eyes so similar to her own.

That was also something Kate liked about Sapphire. It wasn't every day she got to see someone else with green eyes

Yeah,they aren't to common from my own experiences.And the main color of eye's she'd seen was navy blue from Luke,gold from D and the other care takers usually had hazel or dark brown eyes. Light blue eyes where something rare in the other specimens.Actually,any color was rare.Usually they had pure black eyes due to their breeding but D and Sapphire had been taken and brought there.Not specifically bred.

Which only made them that much more special

And that much more of worth to the lab,and so they wheren't going to just stop looking for D now that they knew she was alive for sure.And now that they knew she had gotten 4HD out,too.

If they ever found out where they were, they would target Kate's house and then what would she do? Probably try to protect D, failing miserably

Probably,but they weren't the type to target places.They often would track and then find the creature/person in a vulnerable and exposed spot.A park per say,and then they'd slip in and take.They didn't risk being found out by "common people.''
