"It's not what you did .... it's who you killed." His voice was quiet and sad.

"I'm sorry." Ray whispers, their arms wrapped loosely around Jack as they tried to comfort their friend.
(Sorry, I'm in a play, so I won't be on... Sorry for not replying sooner, we were going over notes before the last performance.)

(It's fine. ^w^ Good luck!)
Jack held in any sounds of his sobs.

(^w^ Thanks! I'm sad it's over. I probably won't be seeing any of the other actors, the ones that have become my friends, again. TwT)
Ray hums a lullaby of a sort, one that Errapel used to sing whenever Ray was feeling down, and rocks slightly from side to side as they hug Jack. They didn't want Jack to be sad, though they knew they couldn't take away Jack's feelings and force him to be happy all the time.

*Hugs* I understand that, the same has happened to me over my years of being in plays.)
Jack didn't seem comforted, he wasn't easy to comfort sometimes. He missed his friend too much, remembering how Eliase had been one of the only guys who had been nice to him. He'd only made friends over the years, but Elias had been his best friend from before training.

(*hugs* Plays are awesome until you have finished the last preformance and then it's sad and lonely... Until the next play! ... Which there isn't going to be one conducted by the same person because they're retiring... And if someone else puts one on, I'd most likely be unable to attend because I'd be moving before we could get it together. TwT)
Ray missed Errapel too, but they had had more time to pick themself up from that fall. Ray was feeling a little sad because they couldn't figure out how to instantly cheer Jack up. They weren't the best at cheering people up, even if they did their best, and usually it backfired and made the person they were trying to comfort annoyed and even more sad. Ray felt extremely guilty because they had been the reason Jack had lost Elias. Ray was there for Jack, though, there if Jack ever needed them.

^w^ I understand that fully, I've moved schools a lot. And we've not finished plays because of the location shutting down.)
Jack didn't want Ray to be around or there for him, he didn't see a friend when he looked at Ray. All he saw was Ray standing triumphantly over the dead body of his best friend.

(Ah, yes. The shutting down of places. Our play was almost called off completely because the location was shut down. But we decided to do it anyways because we've been waiting about a year to do it and it was going to be the last time the director was going to direct.)
Ray could argue that they had only killed because it was a kill or be killed moment. They wouldn't kill anyone unless given a solid good reason to, usually. Ray didn't enjoy killing people, but overcoming a challenge or something along those lines, he did like to do.

Good for you guys! Pushing through! *Claps*)
Jack didn't think that justified it, because he had been trying to get to Ray and get them out. But because they had decided to take it into their own hands, lives had been taken.

(*takes a dramatic bow* It helped that the director had a stage already built in their backyard. xP Unfortunately, some people weren't able to continue to do the play. I don't know why exactly, but it's not my place to know anyways.)
Ray was only doing what they thought would be alight and turn out fine. Ray could tell that Jack didn't want them, so they got up and left Jack after saying another 'I'm sorry'.
