"He's jealous because of how much attention I give you. No growling at the child! This is why he's scared of you." She hugged Azrail. "Yeah, so am I. I guess he's coming with us?"

"Ooooor... You could leave him with me." the snake man says, seeming to just appear out of no where, his scales returning to their natural color.

"No! Definitely not you, get away. You threw him out which means you don't want him anymore so no go away." She hugged Azrail tighter to her and glared at the snake man.

"I thought he was going to die, but I see he isn't dead. And that you have thrown him into more danger. I would be a better caretaker than you." The snakeman retorts.

"No you wouldn't! He wouldn't want to ever go with you anyway. Buzz off!" She prepared to put Azrail behind her if need be.

"How can you say that? You don't know it for a fact, do you?" The snakeman says, slithering forward.
"I don't want to go with you." Azrail says.
"You are so young, these people have fooled you into thinking that. You will be safer with me. You'll have a roof over your head and knowledge of when your next meal is. And no monsters would be able to hurt you." The snakeman says. Azrail puts his paws over his ears.
"You're just saying that." Azrail mutters.

"Or maybe it's his opinion, because of what you did! Don't try to tell him he wants it, because he doesn't." She put Azrail behind her and stood up, "You may want your "pet" back, but he's still a human being and no one should do that to a person." Her eyes stared at him and lit up, like fire.

"He's a shapeshifter. There's a difference." The werebeast hisses, eyes narrowing.
Azrail clings to your leg, peeking at the snakeman.
Zach was watching this with a bored expression, not really wanting to get involved.

"I know there's a difference. But he still should be treated as if he were a human. I don't care what you say, snake. So just go away!"

"Not until I have Azrail back." The snakeman says, advancing.
"So... Do you target shapeshifters specifically? Cause technically, you would be wanting to get revenge on nearly every species: dragons, kitsunes, phoenix, and even humans - if they know the spell or have the potion." Zach breaks in. "The elves are really the only ones that aren't effected."
The snake man turns to him suspiciously. "Yes, I am after every shapeshifting species. But I am after the elves as well, who had the original idea to stuff us werebeasts in the Labyrinth. And I am also after the humans since they built the Labyrinth."
