"Yeah, I guess" Evelyn said, looking at the woman next to her. "Is this her?" Evelyn asked.

Blue smiled and ran up to the woman. She embraced her with a hug. Then looked up. "Where's dad?" Blue asked.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I'm not sure, but the light cloaks are looking" The woman reassured her.

"Oh... oh no... I fear the worst, father is not skilled in the art of combat nor in hiding, I fear he may try to run, something that will only make matters worse for himself. He, like myself, can not fight, but he also can not hide due to him being so tall, and his work has so few hiding spots..." Blue said quietly, tears forming in her eyes as fear took hold.

Evelyn finished treating the rest of the untreated patients, and while she was waiting for more injured to come in, she rushed over to the boy from before. "Hey, are you alright? Need anything?" She asked him. "Eve, please, I'm fine" A familiar voice spoke "It really isn't that bad" He said.

"You were stabbed in the chest with a spear! It isn't fine!" Evelyn told him, shocked at his response.

Blue wiped the tears away and closed her eyes, waiting to wake up from a terrible dream but knew it was all real. She opened her eyes and looked at Shadow. "Shadow, if my dad is not found alive, those dark cloaks will never see the light of day again!" Blue whispered. Shadow looked at Blue with a concerned look on her face and Blue sighed. "You're right, I could never do anything that would even come close to harming them. I'm a weak, good for nothing kid who's scared of everything." Blue mumbled

A light cloak glided down near Evelyn, messing up the landing and tripping before heading over. "Evelyn, what happened to him? Kai? What happened?!" Angel asked alarmed, seeing the state Kai was in

Blue sat down and whispered "Father be safe" several times, her heart racing. She knew that saying this would not help him, but it made her feel better. "Shadow, this is my fault, I wouldn't be here hoping he's alive if I had saved that knife and ran to dad's work instead of away from the town. He could be dead because of my selfishness..." Blue said quietly, ignoring all that was going on around her.

People continued going around, uniting with friends and loved ones. No one paid any attention until someone tripped over Blue, his body sliding across the ground as a girl behind him laughed. "Oh my gosh Rhys, pay more attention!" She said between laughs as the boy got up.

"Shut up! It's not my fault she's sitting in the middle of the floor, and stop laughing, we're going into battle! This is serious!" The boy who tripped yelled back at her, as she walked over and helped him up. "Yeah, but I guess it's scary, knowing one of us might die and we'll never get to do this again, I'll miss you if you die, and if you die, I'll kill you" The girl said. "Yeah, I guess your right" He mumbled, hugging her before heading off.

Blue seemed not even to notice the boy tripping over her. Shadow climbed into Blue's backpack and came out with the small rubber ball, but Blue didn't notice that either. She had comepletely zoned out. Suddenly Shadow bit Blue's hand and Blue shook her head. "Shadow what was that for!" Blue growled. "Ok, fine I guess I needed that." Blue said quietly as she grabbed the rubber ball from Shadow and watched as Shadow ran about a foot away and awaited Blue toss it to her. Blue smiled and threw it to Shadow. Shadow caught it and rolled it back to Blue. Blue laughed quietly as she picked up the rubber ball and put it back in her backpack.
